 Linux Administrator: Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers. Also responsible for optimizing system performance and protecting the company from risk and data loss; performing software installations and upgrades to Linux systems and maintaining them in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
 OS installation:
• Red hat Linux
• Centos
• HP-UNIX
• Solaris
 Network configuration and setting all the necessary configuration.
 Checking disk utilization, cpu utilization and memory alerts and taking necessary actions.
 Daily hurdle call.
 Daily Health checkups of servers.
 Change Management.
 Security patching and full patching of Linux/unix servers.
 Patching through HPSA tool.
 LVM File system management. (Create/extend/reduce).
 Redirection of sites in the http configuration file.
 Adding persistent route entries.
 User Administration.
 Vendor management e.g. Hitachi, Red Hat, park place (Hp-Unix)
 HP agent (monitoring tool) installation on Linux, HP-Unix, Solaris server.
 Preparation of SOP for the project as per environment.
