As Head of the Projects, my job responsibilities with FIITJEE were-

Indus Ventures is a Consultancy firm, established in 2007, that has expertise in Management Consulting, Franchising & Licensing, Business Start-ups & Structuring, Corporate Legal Advisory, HR Recruitment, Project Management and Real Estate Advisory. I Joined this firm in 2014.
Our management team possesses rich experience in retail, fitness and beauty industries having decades of cumulative experience under their belt. We have previously managed and run large companies, including Sahara, Bata, Levis, VLCC, Spencer’s and TPG. We have also been associated with lifestyle, fitness and beauty industry while working for companies, such as SNAP Fitness, VLCC, Fashion TV Salons, House of Wellness and Archies.
• Launched F Salon and Spa in North India. Helped them in franchisee accusation, property finalization, project execution and launch for 40 locations.
• Worked with a leading export house to establish their online business and enter the large format stores. The brand - Oxolloxo - is available at more than 10 online portals and in select locations at Central and Reliance Trends. Additionally, the brand is sold through several MBOs in North India. We have tied up with them (as operating partners) for their retail foray with Franchise outlets and EBOs in FY2016-17.
• Worked with a HNI, for setting up a chain of Fine Dining Restaurants, Boutique Hotels & Lounges, Hi-end Salons and Gymnasiums on PAN India basis, as their Consulting Business Partner. The Company has also agreed to open, in the financial year (FY) 2016-17, in Jaipur city, a minimum of four such Business outlets having independent business units of fitness centre, Salon/ Derma clinic on similar terms as for the Business.
Worked with TPG Wholesale Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President- Property Development. TPG Wholesale Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian subsidiary of one of the world’s leading Private Equity company TPG (Texas Pacific Group) of US. TPG owns the “Vishal Mega Mart” stores spread across India.
As Head of the Property Development, my job responsibilities with Vishal were-
• Heading the Stores Expansion programme which would include location finalization, capex approval, consultants & vendor finalization, store roll out and timely delivery to the operations team.
• Design, Engineering & Development of various projects
• Cost control of the store Opex by optimizing expenses on Power & Fuel, Rent re-negotiations etc.
• Consolidation of the supply chain warehouses.
• New Brand development comprising both external facade development and in store communication.
• Refurbishment of existing 120 “Vishal” stores across the country to provide the best shopping experience to the customer thus resulting in improvement of store revenue.
• Interaction with International and National Consultants.
• Development of in-house team of Architects, Consultants, Engineers, Technicians etc.
• Liaison with State Govt Authorities
Key Achievements-
Constant value engineering for reduction in capex and Opex without compromise of quality. Capex reduced from Rs. 1500/ sft to about Rs. 1200/ sft. Saving achieved INR 170 million
Achieved 12% savings in energy cost across the store network thru’ value engineering. Achieved saving of INR 50 million
Successfully launched 38 stores, in various cities and towns of the country, as against 36 planned for the FY 2013- 14. Added 0.6 million sft @ capex of INR 650 million
Completed refurbishment of all 120 stores across the country without shutting the store for even one day.
Successfully added in excess of 100 stores (both large and small format), renovation of existing stores, closure of non performing outlets, Distribution Centres, Regional Offices in all the seven Regions & Zonal offices Across the country, etc.
Was actively involved in finalization of design, ambience, etc. and subsequent roll out of new apparel concept stores like Beverly Hills Polo Club’ Lady Bird & Mark Ecko.
Was also actively involved in finalization of vendor base for supply of fit-out material from China/ other overseas locations.
