During my time working as a logistics executive in Madhya Pradesh, I was employed by a 3PL logistics company specializing in Volvo Eicher's supply chain management. Prior to that, in Bangalore, I had worked for Hitachi AC. Our responsibilities included managing the logistics for manufacturing 40 buses per day. Over the span of three years, I accumulated valuable experience in coordinating transportation, handling inventory, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain.
• Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling shipments, selecting carriers, and
determining the most cost-effective and efficient routes for delivering goods.
• Leading and managing a team of logistics staff, providing direction, guidance, and support to
achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Manage the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery and
adherence to delivery schedules and knowledge of SAP and ERP software.
• Identify potential risks in transportation operations, such as delays, damages, or disruptions, and
develop strategies to mitigate risks and minimize their impact on operations
• Ensure purchase schedules against the purchase plan for timely procurement of all items to ensure
smooth functioning of user department.
• Prepare and develop bid documents and supplier bid list to obtain competitive quotations on
commodities and services.
• Reviewed quotations and negotiated with vendors regarding acceptance of company’s terms,
conditions, credit terms and best prices. Discuss defective or unacceptable new goods or services with
users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take correctiveand preventive action.
• Managed the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management,
transportation, and distribution, to minimize lead times and maximize cost savings.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance the efficiency,
effectiveness, and reliability of logistics operations.
DHL:Planning and implementing the set-up of new warehouse operations as per SOPs.
• Undertaking the rationalization of warehouse, overseeing the design of warehouse layout and storage
allocation.
• Planning and maintaining efficient warehouse operations; assigning and evaluating the work
performance of personnel assigned to the Stores; managing the Warehouse as a Profit Unit by
achieving the target & handling stock and delivery.
• Ensuring quality compliance by warehouses as per the set guidelines to maintain hygiene and protect
from damage to the facility.
• Tracking & maintaining the inventory levels in the Stores for all items required, thereby ensuring
optimum use of inventory.
• Generating and maintaining accurate records, including shipping documents, invoices, and reports on key
performance indicators (KPIs) for management review and decision-making
