Role includes teaching English to ELL-SOD students and adapting the British National
Curriculum for Year 5 students to reduce/remove barriers to learning, making the English
curriculum more accessible for students enrolled in learning support. Responsibilities include
understanding individual needs of children at Level 3 - requiring support in class or during pullout lessons, assisting and supporting Class teachers by sharing best practices for differentiation,
scaffolding & learning styles for promoting an inclusive ethos in general classrooms and
coordinating with SENCOs for students needing specialized support and/or standardized SEN
assessment battery implementation so parents receive SENCO counselling to obtain timely,
necessary formal diagnosis, if multiple needs are suspected. Managing Individual Education
Plans (IEPs) and group IEPs for all children receiving additional learning support and record keeping per SPEA/DIEFP guidelines, as applicable and advised by the schools’ Inclusion
department policies. Rendering parental guidance services for home-based strategies/programs
to boost learning and development for students receiving LS, sharing strategies that boost team
performance, are data driven and student centric besides raising quality standards of the
specialized learning support program are other essential elements of this role.

Role includes teaching a modified Middle School ICSE curriculum to grade 8, with a strong focus
on adapted planning and assessments besides introducing the CLSP/Cambridge Lower
Secondary English program for classes 6 and 7 (Cambridge Checkpoint Stage 7 & Stage 8) and
serving as the Stage 7 English planning lead. I was also in charge of independently planning,
delivering and restructuring specialized grade 8 English Bridge class interventions/ curriculum
differentiations and final assessments with personalized accommodations for children with
special education needs besides lending expertise to the SEN Centre.

• Previously employed as Special Education Needs Teacher/ SENCo in a 175 year old all-boys residential ICSE school, I introduced the Special Education program in the college.

Functioning as the Whole school SEN coordinator, my key role involved helping fulfill the management’s vision for Inclusive Education in the Junior, Middle and Senior sections of the college.

My chief job responsibilities included conducting workshops and informal discussions for Awareness and Sensitization of Behavioural and Learning Disabilities/Challenges for parents and teachers, Teacher Training workshops for Classroom Instructional Strategies, Classroom Management, Inclusion support with classroom accommodations for children with special needs, Compacted Curriculum/Differentiated Curriculum planning, supervision and evaluation of delivery, Screening and Identification of Special Education Needs, IEP development and delivery in an inclusive school set-up, Parental guidance and counselling, Behaviour modification and Remedial/Intervention on 1:1 basis and in micro groups, defining appropriate test and exam benefits as per the child’s IEP, administrative policy development and refinement for scaling up the program to include a resource team of para-professionals (Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Junior Special Educators/Teacher Aides, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist).

• Previously employed as a full time Special Education Needs Teacher in an Integrated K-12 co-educational school, the only one of its kind in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. I was in charge of academic and co-curricular program development and delivery to Mainstream and Special Education Needs children in the age group of 2.5 years to 18 years of age.

I developed IEPs, provided parental and career counselling to guardians of older Special Needs students besides conducting home-based Intervention + Remedial Classes for secondary students aged 12 years to 18+ years.

As part of the Vocational (Girls) group teaching team, I was in charge of motivating and training students aged 16 -40 years to learn and practice making saleable arts and crafts items to improve their motor-skills, social skills and creativity levels while developing a sense of independence and self-confidence in the students in my care.

The programs I implemented there helped to develop their self-help, vocational skills and occupational skills effectively so they achieved their classroom learning objectives successfully.

As first point of contact for the organization and chief liaison between Facilities and Employees, I was responsible for guiding visitors, clients, new hires and vendors across 4 zones of company premises while maintaining a personable, professional and decisive office demeanour.
