-Install/administer cybersecurity solutions on desktops, servers and networks;
-Resolve runtime configuration and process problems;
-Proactively identify and schedule change events;

•Act as technical escalation point to the Infrastructure Team for all requests regarding HPC/OVD access, Log in issues in Active Directory/VPN/McAfee drive encryption etc.
•Responsible for backing up of the Virtual Machine using the Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM).
•Provide the Principal Investigator/Research Scientists/Research Specialist with the installation of Analysis software running in Linux/Mac OS environment such as QIIME 1&2, PEAR, FASTQC, trimmatotic, R, etc.
•Provide stand alone desktop with Linux operating system such as Ubuntu, Redhat, CentOS, BioLinux as required for project use by Principal Investigators, Researchers and Specialist.
•Responsible for managing Ticketing System (BMC FootPrints) such as creating Workspaces, Add/edit fields mapping, Generating reports, etc.
•Responsible for all the Research Service Management IT assets and inventory using Snipe IT.
•Liaise with the vendor concerned for IT parts replacements/warranty.
•Troubleshoot laptops, desktop hardware/software issues and ensure that these concerns addressed accordingly.
•Responsible for providing other Technical Suppport for all users such as Principal Investigators, Scientist, Researchers as and when needed.
•Provide support for all computers inside the Laboratory connected to the laboratory equipments as needed
for providing On-site troubleshooting of Sun Microsystem/Dell servers and storage of contract clients such as Qatar Petroleum, Supreme Education Council, Commercial Bank of Qatar, Meeza Data Center, Ooredoo Data Center, Maersk Qatar, Ministry of Interior (MOI)-for SITA Aero Project.
•Provide support and speedy response to all customer/client’s problems to ensure that individual contractual commitments (SLA or MA) are met.
•Assigned to a specific project (SITA Aero) as primary Engineer for the following duties and responsibilities:
•Building of Production / DR Site infrastructure from the scratch like the installation of Solaris OS and building/configuring of Solaris Zones containers
•Configuration of Storage (ST 6180).
•Configuration of Solaris Zones.
•Management of backup for database, Solaris operating system, zones using Veritas Netbackup.
•Monitoring of Sun Servers and Sun Storage using WhatsupGold.
•Conducting of Daily system health check for Production and DR sites.
•Provide remote Technical Support for both Production and DR sites.
•Maintenance of servers(Sun Blade 6000) and storage (StorageTek 6180).
•Conduct site visits to the Data Center for monthly health checks for servers/storage Hardware maintenance for contract clients (i.e Supreme Education Council, First Investment Bank).
•Stationed as Technical Support Engineer (reliever) for Contract clients (i.e Georgetown University, Meeza Data Center, Muntajat \{ a QP Subsidiary\} etc.) to provide the following:
•Providing Technical Support for End-users such as software and hardware issues.
•Troubleshoot laptops/desktops/printers and solve issues accordingly.
•Relocation of computers as required.
•Assisting the System Administrator in conducting assests inventory.
