Review Contractor’s document transmittal for approval such as Quality plan, Material Submittal, Method Statement, ITP, Material Test Reports etc.
Assure all proposed materials for construction permanent works are pre-qualified & documented prior to its intended use.
Conduct daily audit/inspection to contractor to assure relevant quality documents are kept updated & maintained.
Conduct frequent Surveillance visit of Batch plant, Structural steel fabrication, Independent Testing Lab etc. prior to final approval.
Report to the QC Manager, Senior Material Engineer and the Resident Engineer.
Attend regular construction coordination meeting, weekly quality focus meeting & NCR workshop.
Be responsible for the implementation of Materials’ inspection and test procedures of contractor/subcontractors as per employer’s requirement.
Perform daily inspection for Infrastructure & Building Construction activities re; Earthworks, Roadwork, Structural works, concreting, masonry, & including architectural finishing works based on approved plans, method statements, ITP & specs.
Follows inspection test plans for civil, structural and building works and ensures that the contractor /subcontractor carries out the various stage inspections & tests, records & findings.
Assures grade and formworks were set to correct elevation & alignment, signed off by third party prior to concrete works.
Identify non-conforming work and/or materials, maintain records and follow up that corrective action & preventive action is taken by the contractor and close out each issue.
Ensures that all paper works required (i.e. Request For Inspection, Inspection Checklists, Concrete pour cards, & Quality Verification Documents, etc.) had been completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Perform daily inspection & coordination in roads & bridges construction activities; witness & assess procedure implemented on field test requirement re; pile testing/ sonic testing, post tensioning works & road base testing and monitor sea wall construction activities.
Coordinate & perform verification with the Contractor’s Representative concerning issues of repairs & rectification of defects to satisfy closure of construction concern & Non conformance works.

Prepare and evaluate concrete design mixes & trial batches separately for cold water intake pump house, chimney, turbine top deck & boiler foundation for powerhouse.
Inspection, monitoring, evaluation of laboratory test report & approval of daily asphalt production and coordinate with Contractors, Project Superintendents & QA/QC, and specification requirements as basis for project acceptance standards.
Conduct frequent inspection of precast yard, quarry, aggregate processing plant, Independent testing Lab & batching plant relative to quality assurance.
Responsible for the maintenance, inventory & calibration of equipment.
Maintain & implement Company’s QC Program as per applicable standard.
Supervise and evaluate field & lab test on soil, concrete, asphalt & aggregates.
Coordinate & perform verification with the Contractor’s Representative as per RFI & ITP prior to concreting works.
