Responsible for overseeing safety of all trades and effectively supervising daily on site activities. Responsible for directing the site construction and sub-contractors in planning, coordinating and safely executing the work in accordance with the contract documents, schedule and budget. Report directly to the Safety Superintendent and fulfill an integral safety role in the project. Shall be also visibly demonstrates the priority of safety in all activities, including setting a good personal example.
Provide Induction Training to new employees.
Arrange schedule for Saudi Aramco Plant Safety Orientation to all employees and update its status on a weekly basis.
Provide and update safety training plan completion on a weekly basis.
Provide HSE related documents for review and approval of top management and clients.
Coordinate and update the Work Permit Report
Ensure that safety training and all other specifically required training is provided for all employees.
Coordinate any investigations for employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints.
Establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigating “near-miss” situations.
Maintain and keep required safety and health documents/files.
Coordinate with the Project planner and provide weekly and monthly statistical report to SAPMT
Be empowered in writing by his management to stop their own work and work related to the contract that they deem to be unsafe and take immediate corrective actions as needed.
Understand safety and health requirements of the contract — in particular Schedule ―D and this document — as well as the CSSP, HIP and CSM.
Ensure all contractor and subcontractor personnel attend site safety orientations, including as required by the SAPO, and ensure contractor and subcontractor personnel attend applicable safety training.
Communicate safety rules and standards to the contractor and subcontractor workforce.
Provide/assist with safety training for personnel.
Provides promotional materials and develops and administers recognition systems to promote safe and healthful work performance.
Periodically inspect the work site, report any unsafe acts/conditions to the area supervisor and/or foreman, provide recommendations to correct deficiencies and follow-up to verify corrective actions have been taken.
Assists management in the annual inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers. Prepares appropriate notices for management to issue for abatement of any identified hazards.
Keep a record of safety meetings, including agendas and personnel attendance records. Keep a permanent record of job-related injuries/illnesses, near misses, fires, motor vehicle accidents, property damage, crane and heavy equipment incidents, etc.
Participate in incident investigations, safety meetings, drills, etc., and conduct/facilitate safety training sessions.
Prepares daily, weekly and monthly site safety reports.
Ensure general safety rules are printed in languages understood by contractor and subcontractor personnel and are posted in areas where they are clearly visible.
Immediate supervisor of scaffold craftsmen during erecting, altering, or dismantling scaffolds in the area for which responsible, and has the authority, training, and experience necessary to competently direct scaffolding work and verify compliance with applicable standards.
Responsible for maintaining and protecting both employee and health and safety, protecting the safety of workers around equipment and may work alongside employees or may be solely responsible for safety-monitoring efforts such as:
