Responsible for managing contracts, supplier negotiation, negotiating contract terms and conditions, supplier management and collaboration with internal l stakeholders for the Procurement department. Managing the contract database and all associated files. Duties include assisting with contract development, administration, tracking, and analysis, as well as communication of supplier performance and contract compliance. Execute contracts for aerospace spares, repairs, and services.
Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations on sourcing strategies, practices and procedures. Administer long term contracts including, but not limited to product and non-product contracts. Participate in and provide support for initiatives such as supplier enablement, contract management, project management, problem resolution, and customer support. As directed, provide assistance in procurement for high-value and/or high-risk projects and other areas as directed.
Actively monitors KPI’s and other contract requirements and reports out status.

Manage and oversee overall supply chain operations, including: logistics, purchasing, expediting, inventory management of materials and components as well as supplier management, to enable company to meet contractual obligations to clients.
Develop and implement an effective end-to-end supply chain to fulfil customer demands, from production demand to payment of suppliers.
Oversee the sourcing, purchasing and expediting of different commodities, e.g. chemicals and raw materials such as Turco, paints, PRC sealants, metal Aluminium plates, billets, sheets and composites such as honeycomb, boltaron, prepreg, core, polycarbonate, etc. for the manufacturing of parts for OEM’s Airbus and Boeing.
Establish key performance metrics (KPI’s) scorecards for suppliers and logistic service providers and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning; measure actual performance against goals on regular basis and present results to senior management and suppliers.
Inventory and cost optimization: Implement and maintain Manufacturing Resources Planning (MRP) system. Establish buying rules for MRP and strategies to reduce inventory levels and enhance stock turn such as: forecasting, re-order points, economic order quantity, safety stock, minimum and maximum quantity levels.
Lead preparation and negotiation of procurement contracts (Service Level Agreements) with suppliers and Freight Logistics Service Provider (LSP). Monitor contractual deliveries.
Manage the budget of the Procurement and Materials group to ensure that work practices and processes of the team support the maximization of profit margins for the business units following a 'Total Cost of Acquisition' ensuring optimal total lifetime cost.
Co-ordinate the implementation of a holistic supply chain service provider as the freight agent for inbound / outbound logistics and warehousing operator, including the development of a new warehouse.

Manage the operations, financial, personnel and administration portfolio of the Codification Standardization, Classification and Publications departments.
Manage the Publications department that provides a range of services including:

Translations, editing, proofreading, typing formatting and publishing of technical documents and proposals and contracts Scanning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Colour copying (paper and transparencies)
Establish a functional area in a complex environment that is responsible for Standardization, Classification and Codification of raw materials, electronic and mechanical components.
Manage an efficient engineering support function, including asset control, cost control, preparing budgets, statistics and reporting.
Institutionalise business rules based on a value system supported by processes for Standardization, Classification and Codification.
Develop departmental policies, procedures and strategies regarding Codification.
Develop and maintain departmental business plans.
Identify possible strengths and weaknesses in objectives, strategies and operatives.
Plan, organize lead and control all the operations of the Codification department.

Sourcing of raw materials, electronic and mechanical components.
The acceptance/clearing of quotes for procurement.
Creation of purchase requisitions, order tracking and follow-up.
Expediting and placing purchase orders on manufacturers and suppliers. Manage supplier performance.
Identification of short and long terms spares and raw materials requirement.
Identification of obsolete items and alternatives.
Ensuring adequate supplies to support production. Close liaison on matters concerning spares and spares supply with production line in Algeria - Africa, Production workshop personnel, Warehouse, Purchasing and Engineering Departments.

Planning of spares for the Avionics Workshop to perform necessary level maintenance on C130, Mirage F1 and Commercial Aircraft components, e.g. Compasses, Automatic Flight Control System and Power Generators.
Formulating of materials management procedures, mission and vision statement.
Material, inventory management by using the SAP, SLIS and LIMS computer systems.
The creation and maintenance of fractional bills of Material. Identification of short and long term spares requirement.
Maintenance of stock levels in stores. Investigating the availability of alternatives.
Supplier sourcing and maintenance.
Sourcing and purchase of raw materials, electronic and mechanical components.
Liaising and negotiate with suppliers, obtaining quotations for relevant spares and expediting.
Assessing vendors against quality standards.
The acceptance/clearing of quotes for procurement.

Analysing specifications, recommendations for local manufacture.
Close liaison on matters concerning spares and spares supply with Production Control, Shop floor personnel, South-African Air force, Stores, Buying and Engineering Departments.

1st and 2nd line servicing of Armament systems and associated equipment fitted to Imp Mk I and II, Mirage FI and Cheetah aircraft. Servicing, repair, modification, installation and removal of ejection seats types AS06A, WYGAM ZM4, ZRM4, SEMMB4, FIRM4, MB106, MB10L, Mk’s I and II.

First and second line servicing of Armament Systems and associated equipment fitted to Impala MKI and MKII, Mirage F1AZ and CZ, Cheetah aircraft.
