I am working as a Network Engineer and I am handling LAN/WAN Implementation, maintaining Troubleshooting, performance monitor and Tuning Networks Technologies, Cisco routing and switching in Multiple Routing and Switching fields.
Key Responsibilities as level 2 NOC engineer ( June 2015-Till Date ):
• Operate, Maintain customer links, Access O&M and Facilities and its related services to achieve and enhance service stability, network performance, availability and customer satisfaction as well as manage and supervise the NOC Engineers, technicians and contractors to carry out maintenance activities of high quality to meet the Service Level Agreemnt.
• Meet planned SLAs & KPIs in order to provide high quality for services to satisfy customers
• To ensure that the network issues are being solved according to their SLA’s & KPIs.
• To prepare NOC performance reports and Network link utilization reports.
• Conduct training for technicians’ team to enhance their knowledge that will lead to increasing the performance.
• Customization Network Fault Mangment system and Network Performance Monitoring Tools Tivoli, IBM Solution.
• Backbone hardware and software troubleshooting for MPLS P, PE and managed CE devices.
• Act as second level troubleshooting for all trouble tickets forwarded by NOC department
• Key responsible for the identification and resolution of hardware and software technical
problems and malfunctions related to hardware.
• Request, supervise and perform planned activities (upgrades, RFC’s, etc.).
• Analyze root cause as part of problem solving process.
• Communicate with respective vendors for network elements support & maintenance, with proper ticket escalation and SLA agreement.
• Leading shifts and handling different tasks and responsibilities .
• Experience with MPLS, LDP, MPLS-VPN with IGP (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), L2VPN, VPLS, VRF Lite, managed network services VPN
• Experience with STP, RSTP, MSTP, GLBP, HSRP, VRRP, MAC ACLs, Private VLANs, Port Security, Ether channel (L2 & L3), Access &Trunk Links, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, RIP, EIGRP, Redistribution, Route Filtering, Route Maps, VPC, Fabricpath, VDC.
• Hands on experience on IOX-XR and IOS XE plateforms on Routers ASR9010, ASR1006
• Hands on experience on routers and switches Cisco 2960, 3560, 3750, 4507R, 6513, 2800, 3800, 7606.
• Hands on experience on Data Center Technology : Nexus 7K, 5K and 2K, MDS Storage Switches, VPC, Fabricpath, VDC, Fex, FCIP.
• IOS upgrade for Cat 4500, 6500, ME-3400 and SMU and Service-pack upgrade for ASR9K and ASR1K.
Key Responsibilities as level 1 NOC engineer ( Jan 2014 - May 2015 ):
• First Level troubleshooting on Internet, MPLS L2VPN, L3VPN customer issues.
• Isolating the problem and redirecting the incident to the concerned team.
• To maintain, troubleshooting and open the trouble tickets to responsible Team in case of any issue as per the standard procedure.
• Escalating and coordinating with back offices and transmission teams for related issues.
• Escalation points for network faults.
• Escalate and coordinate with upstream providers (ISPs).
• Provide field support and troubleshoot the customer’s links.
• Troubleshooting of customer Bandwidth issues with NOC team.
• Implementation and installation supervision for new sites in both ITCC/KAFD buildings.
• Hands on experiance on fiber technology.
• Experience in Network Fault Management Systems (IBM-Tivoli).
• Experience in monitoring and analyzing network traffic, utilization.
Performing field RF and data measurements using specialized measurement tool and conducting the following testes:
- Single RAS Testing
- Clustering Drive Testing
- KPI (Drive & Stationary) testing
- Ticketing
- CPEs performance check and testing
· Perform measurements collection and generation of raw data based on drive testing approach and using specialized measurement tool
· Perform ad hoc field measurements when reported complaints are suspected to be related to field RF issues
· Perform single-RAS and cluster drive testing and measurements collection for newly added sites
· Perform data service testing and measurements at stationary positions when required
