Provides professional leadership and acts as a role model and mentor to fellow nursing staff.
• Provides patient care within the regulatory body Scope of practice, organization, policies and procedures, and the Unit Scope of Service.
• Assumes accountability and responsibility for own practice and does not carry out tasks beyond level of competence.

•Determine when the patient is stable enough to be transferred into the room/ward or discharged home, if it was a minor procedure.
•Ensure patients receive the care and assistance required/prescribed with fluid and nutritional intake post-operative.
•Observes and reports any change in the clinical condition of the patient.
•Assists the patient who is unable to self-care, with their personal hygiene and dressing needs, adhering to all manual handling procedures and policies, and infection control policies.

• Providing support to patient and families while promoting a positive self-image.
• Providing a sensitive, non-biased, non-judgmental environment for patients undergoing
cosmetic procedures.
