 Inspecting the welding against the Spool Sheets for conformance to material grade and dimension, and performing test of the scope and character to achieve the quality meeting WPS & Client specification.
 Reviewing client QC requirements and ensuring the procedure is employed in production complying with industry codes and standards.
 Verifying the qualification of Welder as per ASME Sec IX and ensuring only qualified & approved welders are employed in the production.
 Observing the preparation of test plates and destructive tests and verifying compliance with industrial standards.
 Examining parent material against documentation & markings and accuracy of welding consumables like electrodes, filler wires, consumable inserts, gases, fluxes etc.
 Performing visual inspection and dimensional check of finished welds against client specifications and drawings.
 Validating the dimensions, fit-up, welding preparations and preheating parameters in accordance with client specification and industry procedure.
 Investigating the production area to ensure welding procedures such as preheat, interpass temperature control and post heat requirements are followed.
 Evaluating NDT results for completeness and accuracy of code and preparing inspection reports for correct identification of welds per location.
 Inspecting painting & coating of valves, pressure vessels, offshore vessels using DFT, Salt contamination, Adhesion & Pin hole test and Blasting profile check as per inspection schedule.
 Monitoring weather condition for surface preparation and painting / coating application and ensuring all final products meet the specifications and international codes.
 Preparing necessary QA / QC painting / coating documents and presenting to clients while maintaining a copy of documents and records.
 Assessing qualifications and competency of spray painters, brush painter’s hydro blasters & abrasive blasters and coordinating with paint supplier/manufacturer on a daily basis.
 Reviewing MTC & NDE reports & radiographs and supplier quality procedures and inspecting castings, pattern, machined parts and painting at supplier place.
 Performing in-process inspections by visually checking PMI and hardness in line with Quality procedures.
 Completing final inspection as per the Quality plan, PO & specification to confirm all finished products are meeting required API specifications.
 Conducting special testing, including FET & LT tests as per procedures & customer requirements and supplying valves for customer / TPI inspection.
 Identifying non-conformance and root cause of defects and developing remedial actions for fixing the problems.
 Accomplishing final valve certification as per PO requirements and maintaining validity of calibration for instruments and equipment.
 Interpreting blueprints and specifications, monitoring welding operations to ensure they meet production standards and recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process.
 Resolving quality issues relating to capability, tolerance, and materials by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
 Developing method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
 Utilizing various types of instruments such as Micrometers, Venire, Bore gauges, Bevel Protractor, Height gauge, Filler gauge to measure products, and returned materials that fail to meet specifications.
 Training junior personnel in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities and supporting them during the application of existing and new measurement systems for process design and startup.
 Handling treatment of Non-Conformities / corrective actions and advised procedures for quality control / assurance.
 Researching and selecting effective inspection techniques and executed inspection and treatment of NCRs.
