Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Activities:
• Responsible for planning and executing all QA activities
• Perform periodic, in-depth QA reviews/Audits on projects and ensure process adherence, progress, risks & issues.
• Introduced a standard set of product quality metrics which will be reported monthly for all projects
• Collect project metrics data by coordinating with practitioners, validate and assist them in performing trend analysis that determines the project performance against organizational goals. Provide regular monthly Metrics reports to Senior Management.
• Perform Project Closure Review (post-mortem) and ensure the lessons learnt from the project are shared across the organization using Lessons learnt database.
• Introduced an automated “SDLC Work Flow process” for Review and Approval of Key Project Deliverables
• Introduced an effective “Quality Control” mechanism through QC Gates for each phases of SDLC.
• Conducted regular QA Review Meetings with Project Quality Managers once in every two months.
• Act as first point of contact for all audit related matters
• Chaired the project Status/ management reviews
Process Activities:
• Refine / Re-define the existing STEPS (Samba Technology Enhanced Process System) with the objective of having light weight, effective, continually improving processes which was consistently applied across the organization (after current systems study and initial gap analysis)
• Process Improvement Roadmap aiming ISO 9001:2008 Certification and CMMI L-3 Appraisals
• Planning and executing complete Process Improvement (PI) activities, including, process definition, training, implementation and assessment / appraisal activities, as per Process Improvement models - ISO-9001:2008 & CMMI.
• Reporting the status of PI initiatives to management and other stakeholders once in a month.
• Development of Quality Standards across all Services provided
• Ensure that robust procedures are in place to manage deployment, code fixing and troubleshooting.
• Conduct PFG (Process Focus Group) meeting once a month with specific agenda items and circulate the minutes to all participants and stakeholders. Co ordinate with PFG for approval and implementation of new processes in SAMBA
• Conduct Process auditing in projects to identify areas of improvement through process assessment and non-compliance reporting. This facilitates the sharing of best practices across projects and provides an objective insight into the process and product quality. Propose Corrective and Preventive Actions for all Non-Conformities
• Tracking & closure of all Non-Conformities
• Coordination with External Auditors / Certification bodies and Appraisal agencies
• Evaluating automation tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations
• Causal Analysis for Non-Conformities / Defects / Negative customer feedbacks/customer complaints and make improvements
