KARMA CONSTRUCTION CO (MUMBAI) PROJECT MANAGER (CIVIL)
• Assuming complete responsibility as a Project Manager(Civil) in various construction works for Karma Construction Co for the executing of civil construction projects/building works (including electrical and mechanical works pertaining to building construction) from idea stage, estimate & costing, site selection & land development to final construction & project delivery.
• While working as a Project Manager (Civil) for Karma Construction Co, led efforts across handling civil construction work such as RCC Road, Asphalt Road, Complete Building construction (Along with all types of electrical/mechanical works)/ Storage facility for MES (Military Engineering Services) with single slab at height to 12m having clear span of 20m, all works including slab preparing project plan while controlling job quality as per drawing requirement.
• Implementing planned and preventive maintenance schedules to maximize operational life of equipments and installations such as overhead crane, hydraulic crane, hydra etc., while ensuring safety of plant and person; looking after routine shift activities while planning workers and the opti¬mum utilization.
• Proficiently drawing up detailed project plan covering overall project theme, material requirements, and budgetary outlay, estimation and activity schedules; discussing with management for approvals and carrying out periodical reviews to implement changes.
• Spearheading efforts across developing & implementing plans & strategies to control cost and conducting cost-benefit analysis to ascertain technical and commercial viability of construction projects.
• Adeptly planning & controlling all project activities connected with safe and efficient operations; implementing quality standards for meeting the set targets within time & cost parameters.
• Streamlining stores operations with-strict application of laid down receipt/issues procedures, maintaining proper & accurate records, ensuring safe and secure material storage and regulating stocks to logical levels. Periodically conducting physical verification of inventories.
• Developing reliable sources for supply of equipment, raw material and finalizing procurement contracts on most competitive terms. Maintaining regular follow up with the vendors to ensure deliveries within prescribed schedules.
• Preparing MIS reports for monitoring movement of key business indicators to facilitate decision making and fruitful dissemination of information.
• Instrumental in supervising and managing overall project activities including project scheduling and resource allocation of men, material and machine to maximize operational efficiency; identifying key milestones and forecasting completion timeline.
• Judiciously supervised & monitored the overall project performance on regular basis & took steps for further improvements with a view to complete project within stipulated time frame & prescribed budget.
• Responsible for drawing up detailed project plan covering overall project theme, requirements of manpower, machines and materials resources including budgetary outlay and activity schedules.
• Formulated MIS reports to facilitate critical decision-making process while meticulously ensuring precision and accuracy; also ensured effective reporting system for flawless working.
• Ensured timely periodic check/calibration and inspections while undertaking & implementing corrective/preventive actions in case of non-conformances affecting product quality; also accountable for handling tasks pertaining to serviceability of tools and measuring test equipment.
