I'm working as a Senior HSE Engineer (Health, Safety & Environment) at Qarun Petroleum Company (QPC) while APACHE Egypt & SENOPAC are the main shareholders. QPC is one of the EGPC companies (Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation) and certified for OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001 management systems. My first three working years had been in QPC onshore oil sites then I had been transferred to Head Quarter office and till present.
I am responsible for :
1)Participating into HSE management systems internal audits, onshore rigs HSE audits, sites inspection and random surveys.
2)Participating into HSE system reviewing, improvements, emergency drills conducting and environmental measurements to enforce HSE systems implementation.
3)Participating into HAZOP studies teams for new projects, risk assessment preparation, work instructions issuing & Permit to Work system activation.
4)Emphasize implementation of journey management system through IVMS (International Vehicles Management System) and follow up drivers’ behaviors and participating into evaluating their performance.
5)Participating into contractors’ management & evaluation processes, starting from tendering stage ending by the work done & performance evaluation.
6)Following up safety orientation for green hand employees to be aware of the hazards of their jobs and the near miss reporting as well as participating into periodical induction meetings conducting for all employees.
7)Participating into accident investigation as a reactive action to find out direct, contribution & root cause(s) then identifying the corresponding corrective action(s) for controlling and preventing re-occurrence.
8)Emphasize implementation of waste management system and hygienic rules, participating & following up conducting the related environmental measurements and analysis through the approved and certified third parties.
