Duties:
- Responsible in managing the design process and coordination throughout all the relevant stages, from Design Concept to Tender scoring and following on to construction, with complete management of the fit-out process, quality of installation, snagging, installation of FF&E and final handover to the Client.
- Conduct detailed review of the design through the various interior design stages. Offering design expertise and guidance to the all stakeholders for consideration and development.
- Responsible for reviewing design and technical evaluation at every stage; Concept, Schematic, Design Development and Tender Stage.
- Identify and manage the design and technical coordination required with other disciplines, consultants and team members. Typically, Architecture, MEP, Structure, Signage, Lighting, Landscape.
- Review of specification documents, for all materials, FF&E & related equipment’s, specialist interior finishes and products.
- Conducting Interior Design workshops, with the Client and Consultant, in order to resolve complex issues and establish the way forward.
- Conducting Interior & FF&E related Value Engineering workshops, in order to manage budgetary constraints.
- Participation in coordination meetings, progress meetings and status reporting pertaining to all Interior design related scope.
- Conducting a detailed review of the Interior & FF&E related tender documentation for completeness, oversee preparation and assembly of Tender documentation and approval by the Contracts/Project Managers.
- Upon award of the FF&E Contract, management of contractor/Vendor’s submittals for ID/FF&E works. Typically including shop drawings, material submittals, product and material samples, manufacturer’s data, material boards, test reports, etc.
- Monitoring the progress of the Supervision Consultant for timely review and approval of the submittals and shop drawings, managing the consistent flow of information to be returned to the Contractor within the agreed timeframe.
- Review the responses to the RFI’s and Submittals to ensure compliance to the design and determine if changes are being made to contract drawings, which could result in unapproved additional work and delays resulting in cost and time impact.
- Review of Contractor’s method statements for all interior finishes, equipment installation, products and FF&E elements.
- Monitor and control the progress in line with the construction schedule for the interior works, Signage’s and FF&E activities.
- Identifying critical activities, anticipating and managing risks and proposing risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of the procurement strategy, reviewing potential suppliers for quality, capabilities, compliance, lead times and price.
- Provide information relevant to the PM/CM Monthly Report on the status of interior works FF&E and Signage’s.
- Conduct regular on-site construction coordination meetings with the Contractor & sub-contractors, to review the quality of the ongoing interior works, resolve any field conflicts and coordination issues, in order to manage the progress and development in line with the program and any associated recovery plans in place.
- Coordinate the inspection activities, snagging, close-out and final handover activities.
Duties:
- Responsible of handing over all finishing Items and close out project documents
- Reviewing IFC and shop drawings in coordination with clients, Design coordinator, contractor and subcontractors
- Responsible of all duties on site for all the Finishes, Millworks and Accessories
- Advising the client when necessary on the design orientation and solving solutions
related to functionality and/or aesthetic related interiors, millworks and FF&E
- Assuring all related specifications comply with the local and international standards (QCS)
- Daily monitoring progress on site, inspections and site reporting on regular bases
- Mock-up inspections at site with client and client representatives
- Coordinating and attending meetings with Sr.FF&E, Clients and contractor for signage’s and preparation of fire escape routing
- Aiding and decision maker in preparation of furniture data sheets and in selection of fabrics and finishes with client and Sr.FF&E
- Coordinating with Sr.FF&E for furniture package, Architectural team along with other disciplines
- Coordinating and following up with the design coordinator Burns & McDonnell, contractor HBK (joint venture Renaissance) and project management ASTAD
- Meeting and coordinating with client and client representatives (ASTAD/ Qatar Foundation Senior Interior Designers, Project Managers and other related professionals)
- Responsible for reviewing and replying to RFI’s/ RFIT’s/ Material Transmittals/ Material Submittals/ Materials Delivered to Site and other related documents
- Assuring all materials approved and on schedule, making full follow up with contractor for production, delivery and proper storage
- Reporting directly to Senior Construction manager & Resident Engineer
Duties:
- Space/ furniture layout, design and selection/ specification of materials
- Preparing and presenting sample, mood boards and presentations to clients and client representatives
- Rendering with Photoshop
- Involved in preparing signage distribution on plans and fire escape routing
- Reviewing furniture layout and accessories in coordination with lead architect and client
- Design review (Shop drawings, Mock-up drawings, Material submittals)
- Site supervision for monitoring progress on site (Inspections, site reporting, mock up and regular inspections)
- Responsible for reviewing and replying to RFI’s by preparing schematic drawings
- Mock-up inspections with client and client representatives
- Manufacturer and supplier factory Inspections
- Meeting and follow up with contractor and sub-consultants
- Meeting and co-ordination with the client and client representatives
- Working in a team with other designers
- Working closely with Lead Architect and other design professionals
- Coordinating closely with other disciplines related to the project
- Reporting to Lead Architect and Senior Interior designer
Duties:
- Responsible for designing and preparing detailed working drawings, space layout, plans, elevations and sections by sketching and AutoCAD use
- Redesigning existing space
- Selection/ specification of material finishes, lighting and FF&E
- Preparation of data sheets for lighting and FF&E
- Sustainable and Eco-Friendly material Specifications
- Rendering with Photoshop
- Producing sample/ mood boards for presentation to clients
- Working closely with Sr. Architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, with manufacturers and suppliers
- Coordinating closely with other disciplines related to the project
- Reporting to Sr. Architect and Senior Interior designer
