- a 150 bed capacity hospital, with a 24- hour emergency room and a primary care unit and Out patient Specialty clinics which caters to eligible KJO employees and their dependents and other Al Khafji residents as well.
. Accident and Emergency Department
- A 25- bed capacity unit which can accommodate 100- 150 patients- a- day. It caters to all types of emergencies from adult medical and surgical cases, pediatric medical and surgical cases to obstetric and gynecology cases.
• Obstetric and Gynecological Department
- A 25- bed capacity unit which caters to all obstetric cases and gynecological cases with one room for an isolation case.

DUTIES ABD RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position: CHARGE/ STAFF NURSE
➢ Reports directly to the head nurse.
➢ Attend to all surgical and medical cases, either adult or pediatric to ob- gynae cases.
➢ Provide direct patient care using defined set of guidelines, policies and procedures, such as vital signs taking, monitoring and the like.
➢ Always ensures that comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients are carried out.
➢ Maintain a safe environment for patients.
➢ Keep fully up- to- date with all policies, procedures and standards relating to patients' care.
➢ Utilize nursing process in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
➢ Administers all prescribed treatments using defined policies and procedures.
➢ Dispenses, administers and records medications.
➢ Keeps up- to- date knowledge relating to side effects and contradictions of medicaments used.
➢ Ensures that medical staff is informed of any changes in patients' conditions.
➢ Assist patients in identifying their needs for medical assistance, self- help and rehabilitation.
➢ Plans nursing care appropriate for the patients, involving the patients themselves, their families and nursing assistants.
➢ Encourage patients to accept modifications of their normal patterns of living imposed by chronic illness or permanent incapacity.
