Bank of Sharjah is a leading provider of commercial, retail and investment banking solutions in the UAE aimed at becoming a major financial institution in the Middle-East. As a member of the professional in-house development team, my responsibilities are:
• Develop components that enhance our banking operations.
• Provide support and maintenance for the existing modules and software.
• Identify, analyze and rectify performance bottlenecks.
• Prepare and implement releases migration plan.
• Source code review and analysis for junior programmers.
• Attend central bank workshops.
• Manage and integrate central bank projects with our core banking system.
I worked as Web Developer to develop web based applications that serve the business needs of Al Ghurair Group. The group has three main lines of business which are Real Estate and Shopping Malls, Manufacturing (Packaging Solutions and Aluminum), and investments.
Responsibilities:
• Performing all the pre-development steps:
o Requirements Gathering
o Diagramming
o Prototyping
o Database Design
• Developing websites and applications using PHP, J2EE, Oracle DB and MySQL at the backend whilst building the frontend in standards-compliant XHTML, JSP, CSS and JavaScript.
• Fix bugs, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Initiate periodic testing and implement contingency plans in case of systems failure.
• Assist and support in the upkeep and maintenance of web sites.
