• Plans, organizes, maintains, and manages the operations and reliability of university facilities and general infrastructure systems.

• Oversees and coordinates with CMMS administrator to develop and modify preventative maintenance program, including updating preventative maintenance routines based on manufacturer’s maintenance schedules using facility asset inventory and bar-coding applications.

• Leads and directs team of trades and support personnel for assigned zone. Hires, evaluates, trains, disciplines and recommends dismissal of staff as necessary.

• Participates in/on a variety of meetings, committees, task forces, sustainability initiative drive, and/or other related groups to communicate information regarding services, programs, areas of opportunity, and/or other pertinent information as appropriate.

• Inspects facilities for needed maintenance work or views work orders, complaints and other requests for services received from community.

• Leads and inspects preventative maintenance work efforts and other work requests in terms of progress and completion and to ensure compliance of the unit’s activities to pertinent codes, regulations and guidelines.

• Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards on campus.

• Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, and analyzing the root causes to prevent recurrence.

• Monitoring and inspecting university facilities, laboratories, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, incidents, and training programs.

• Coordinates the acquisition of supplies and materials to complete maintenance work activities via shop stock, storeroom and/or local suppliers.

• Develops, recommends, and administers policies, procedures, and processes in support of HSE, building maintenance operations; implements and monitors compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.

• Participates in the development and administration of the building maintenance operating budget; coordinates the allocation of resources following budget approval.

• Responds to emergency situations as required.

• Coordinating with external agencies and authorities on HSE inspections, audits, and reporting requirements.

• Developing and delivering training programs on HSE practices for university staff and faculty.

• Keeping up to date with relevant HSE regulations and standards, and advising university management on compliance matters.

• Calculating (Heat Load Calculation E20, ESP, Hydraulic Calculation etc), designing and selecting the mechanical systems in projects using Carrier HAP, ASHRAE software’s (Psychrometric Analysis, Duct Fitting Database, etc.) by following ASHRAE standards.

• Review mechanical technical submissions and coordinating with supplier & consultant to make the submission technically sound and in line with the project specification. Liaise with sub-contractors / suppliers to finalize the proposals that are in line with project requirement / technically sound / commercially feasible based on the project budget.

• Review/Prepare drawings for correctness and make documentations for clarity of information and take necessary action to ensure sufficient information is available.

• Solving the technical issue/s (Mechanical and Controls) of the project as instructed and directed by the Project Manager.

• Ensuring that the project attains/exceeds the specified & agreed standards in accordance with Companys Quality Standard Procedures.

• Responsible for providing full support to the Project Manager with regular feedback of all information relating to project status with particular references to program, quality, variations, client issues, procurement and other relevant facts etc.

• Assisting the commissioning and Building Automation team to solve the engineering and on field issues to meet the requirements and standards.
