I am the Finance Lead for Transport & logistics Clients
I undertake in Revenue recognition for various projects that entail bulk, break-bulk, containerized, OOG, air cargo, transport shipments to local and transit destinations.
I maintain accounts (AP) with warehouse agents and transporters by preparing accurate supplier reconciliations that lead to payments that are well supported to ensure prompt vendor invoice settlement.
I greatly contribute in the preparation of final accounts that relate to the project on a monthly basis and knowledgeable in fixed asset management and accounting.
I have undertaken in cash management by ensuring all payments are vouched, booked and reconciled accurately.
I have undertaken in making disbursements for clearing and forwarding projects at Siginon Global Logistics.
I have maintained accounts with various shipping lines in terms of resolving invoice discrepancies with operations, corresponding with the shipping lines and ensuring that coding and inputting is accurate.
I am well versed in making general payments i.e. to suppliers and internal clients via bank transfers, MPESA and cheque means.
I am well experienced in billing especially in the functional departments of transport and clearing & forwarding.
I am well versed in accounts payable for suppliers and sub-contractors, salary payments and statutory payments like VAT, Withholding VAT and WHT.
I have an interest in enforcing project management skills to ensure that clearance third party charges are paid on time and at the most logical amounts with possible waivers. Most of all with the interest of ensuring that the customer has a great experience working with us.
