Electrical Engineering and Design
• Leading a full-fledged electrical team with the responsibility of executing project activities from concept till completion and hand-over.
• Preparing load schedules, voltage drop calculation and shop drawings in coordination with the design team and other disciplines.
• Coordinating with the consultants and authorities for the review and approval of material submittals, shop drawings, calculations.
• Coordinating technical meetings with consultants and local authorities including DEWA.
• Preparing tenders and managing the commercial and technical evaluation, award and contract documentation for Subcontract packages.
• Pursuing, analyzing and comparing quotations from suppliers and specialists for all electrical materials, equipment and scope.
• Maintaining working relationships with subcontractors, clients’ representatives and suppliers.
• Assisting in the supervision, scheduling and checking of the works of project team members and working closely with other disciplines.
• Preparing plans for daily actvities including allocating manpower, materials and equipment.
• Documenting the progress of the construction process and ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule.
• Proactively participating in the project review meetings to help resolve any issues that arise.
• Mentoring and developing junior electrical engineers on technical and engineering best practices.
• Preparing and compiling engineering documentation including material submittals, O&M manuals, equipment registers.
• Preparing RFIs with proposed solutions and coordinating implementation of the consultant’s responses.
• Preparing processes for the testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Coordinating with clients and consultants to witness the inspection, testing and commissioning of the project.
• Coordinating with the project consultants and end users on operation and maintenance of the facility.

Estimation and Cost Control
• Responsible for providing detailed cost estimates for various types and forms of projects including design and build, greenfield projects, restorations and refurbishments, alterations, upgrades and change orders.
• Formulating the estimating approach and bid strategy.
• Calculating and preparing complete quantity take offs, detailed measurement of materials, price lists, labour costs, equipment schedules.
• Preparing Bill of Quantities and re-measurement of quantities.
• Coordinating with the site team for their requirements and coordinating with suppliers to satisfy the requirements within the budget.
• Checking submissions for compliance with the specifications and project requirements.
• Preparing tender evaluation comparison spreadsheets.
• Reviewing, analysing, and interpreting bid documents to determine project scope and areas of risk.
• Reviewing and reporting on estimates prepared by others and advising on their implementation.
• Preparing cost analysis reports and tracking and trending ongoing project costs against the estimate and budget.
• Evaluating subcontractors’ commercial claims and coordinating with cost consultants for evaluation of variations.
• Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the electrical engineering project files including estimates, drawings, specifications, RFIs.
• Identifying, preparing, and proposing value engineering opportunities.
• Updating the business with the current status of the electrical construction market in Dubai.
Pre and post tendering estimation and costing for infrastructure and building works.
Preparation of Bill of Quantities and Tender documents.
Preparation of quantities from the drawing (From digital and hard copies).
Preparation of quantities for lump sum jobs.
Estimation of rate and quantities in line with drawing, specification and contractual obligations for tenders conducting in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Management and monitoring of project timings.
Preparation of variations in contracts & liaising with consultant for approval.
Familiar with FIDIC.
