Ensure that the performance of the work is strictly according to the plans and specifications
Ensure that all inspection will be according to the approved PQP, ITP, method statement and shop drawings
Responsible for the effective implementation of the Project Quality Control Plan, Quality Assurance Procedures, Method statement & Inspection Test Plans.
Report (NCR) when an observed defect is not rectified within two working days
Maintain a detailed diary of the day’s work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc., and sign at the end of each day
Maintain the approved quality records/documentation on site for review and implementation. (Drawings, Method statements, ITP, PQP etc.)
Coordinate with the Mechanical Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect material
Report to the Quality Control Engineer any failure/defect that resulting from work executed by the Contractor or any other sub-contractor working on-site.
Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as-built plans.
Assist the Resident Engineer as required and as directed in specific duties to be defined in accordance with the requirements of the project.
Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and complete records concerning the execution of the works as required and directed by the Resident Engineer.
Monitor the actions on site of the Contractor(s) against the project specification and drawings and immediately notify the Resident Engineer if any non-conformities.
Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/ or delay.
Assist the Resident Engineer as directed in the review and forward to the Resident Engineer with any comments all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors.
Attend Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss Contractor(s) submissions, Shop Drawings and construction related matters.
Attend Progress Meeting with the Client, Contractor(s), Project Manager (Employer Representative) to monitor the progress of work against the approved program.

Setting out, leveling and surveying the site.
Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.

Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.

Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors.
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
Preparing reports as required.
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
