• As a Senior Administrator, responsible for support, upgrade, migrate, maintenance and implementation of a complex project modules on Oracle 9i/10g/11gR2/12c database. Stand-alone, RAC, ASM. FailSafe Manager, Sun Cluster implementation with concerned teams.
• Work as an independent team member in 24/7 support environment, capable of applying judgement to plan and execute the various routine tasks.
• Adhoc activities include database refreshes, database re-org activities, Dataguard configuration, building new Oracle servers, UAT server builds and backups as per Application team requests.
• Deploy and configure Oracle 12c agent on more than 200 target databases, Linux/Unix/Windows environments.
• Responding to technical queries/ requests from team members and customers through BMC Remedy Incident Management tool/HP Service Manager. Guide and mentor junior members in the team.
Role: Oracle DBA/ Single Point of Contact for the client, Mylan Laboratories Inc.
• Managing over 340 Oracle databases including RAC/ASM.
• Installation of Oracle Server/ Client as per application requirement.
• Database designing concepts based on the application requirements using ER modelling.
• RMAN Database backups and recovery strategies for the new databases. Configuring automated backups on the databases using in-house MyMon Perl scripts.
• Physical and logical standby DB creation using Data Guard as per requirement for high availability.
• Agent installation on the clients for newly installed databases.
• Upgrade from 9i/10g to 11g. Database refresh activities as per application team requirements.
• Database Performance Tuning SQL Tuning for required applications.
• UNIX shell troubleshoot/scripting.
Role: Oracle DBA
Oracle Database Administration on Linux.
Responsibilities:
● Installation, configuration, administration of Oracle products in Windows, UNIX and Linux environment.
● Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategy to provide reliable database as per database downtime and transactions. Create and manage database objects including tables, indexes, procedures, etc.
● Exporting and importing tables, user, table spaces and Database using Export / Import Utility.
● Daily and weekly backups using RMAN, storage planning and management.
Sun Pharma Business Intelligence Tool
Role: System Analyst for Business Intelligence Tool and Support
Business Intelligence Tool support, includes deployment of BI tool servers and configuration, Creating BI users & profiles, and providing access as per request on basis of their relevant modules rights and sites.
Responsibilities:
● Provided all kinds of DBA support to development teams and production support to the application.
● Define, setup Concurrent Programs/Requests, Menus and Responsibilities in BI Tool.
● Creating and Setting Profile Options Site level, User level. Collaborated with business users and development team to design, develop and implement project. Review database growth and purge unwanted tables.
● Database level and Application Level Configuration.
Role: Oracle DBA/PL-SQL programmer for Database Migration
Migrate data from the existing Oracle database to the new SAP Oracle database.
Responsibilities:
• SQL, PL-SQL programmer, System administration. Database migration from 9i to 10g release.
• Monitoring and reporting the database health checks, backup errors and try to resolve them, else escalate it to the L2/L3 associate.
