Rectification of BTS, Node B & Txn network outages with in minimum down time and maintain the radio network KPI of 99.99%
Ensuring regular PM activity in Node B & Traffic node equipments
Integration & commissioning of Ericsson based UMTS RBS 6101/6201/6202/6601E
Configuration & Maintenance of Ericsson Hybrid microwave links (ATM/IP)
Co-ordinating with Aircel team members, routing IP/ATM traffic from RNC to Node B
Configuring & Maintenance of ETHERNET over TRAFFIC NODE
Co-ordinating with Aircel team members, initiating transmission related activities (i.e Transmission capacity planning for 3G sites (IP/ATM), E1/STM-1 traffic shifting, STM-1 protection path testing, Traffic node RING protection status checking, Traffic node SW upgrade, MW frequency correction activity & MW hop fine tuning work)
Ensuring network quality through regular monitoring of Txn/BTS alarms through NMS
Clearance of Node B & Traffic Node alarms with in minimum time frame
Maintenance of Node B and Traffic node Backup
Providing field level training on newly joined Trainee Engineers & technicians
Performs other duties and responsibilities related to network quality that maybe assigned as required
Escalating major transmission issues to field team immediately
E1/STM-1 port details updation on all MW and OFC nodes
Monitoring of all PDH and SDH hop alarms & updating hop status (Rx level & hop alarms) on weekly basis
Updating Traffic node ring (1+1 SNCP) and 1+1 RAU protection status on daily basis
Doing digital cross-connection on PDH, SDH & Traffic node equipments
Coordinating with planning team for integrating new BTS sites and expansions within the target time
Provisioning the E1 as per month project roll-out sites & expansions
Coordinating with Tejas Mux installation team for implementing the Tejas STM-1 add/drop multiplexer in major nodes
Implementing PDH to SDH conversion for reducing E1 constraint for future network expansions
Responsible for implementing critical traffic migration and site reparenting work as per planning requirements
Coordinating with switch team for STM-1 routing from BSC/MGW/MPBN to MSC/GMSC/MSS through OFC media
Responsible for executing planning RF optimization like tuning electrical and mechanical tilt, orientation or azimuth of
Sector, confirmation of antenna type and height on problematic cell
Conducting coverage and call quality survey in valuable customer premises and providing suitable solution by implementing Microcell, IBS and repeater
Minimizing TCH drop by reducing BTS hardware issues and Nullifying Zero traffic cells by reducing TRU/SECTOR outages with in a time frame
Responsible for rectifying coverage and call quality issues on newly launched sites and expansions
Coordinating with RF planning team for taking TND & RND surveys for capacity and coverage sites on the basis of requirements
Maintaining more than 240 BTS sites in my Cluster and reduce customer complaint in my cluster
Maintaining site database details and provided best report to my Superiors
