Summary:
Masters’ in Engineering with Consumer Research & Development experience focused on product innovation, production planning, cost management and new product launches primarily in Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Turkey regions. Strong leadership, collaboration skills in working with cross functional departments to support commercial project budget proposal, market & data analytics and technical sales.

Associate Manager - Department of Research & Development (Sep 2012- Present)

Responsibilities
• Lead projects in designing innovative products for application of vegetable fat in collaboration with Oils & Fat team.
• Enable process scale up for new products on the state-of-the-art Pilot Plant Spray Dryer (GEA Niro FiltermatTM, Denmark) and Ultra High Temperature (UHT) pilot plant (P2K Powerpoint International Ltd., Japan).
• Implement and evaluate operational efficiencies in manufacturing process by minimizing final product costs, enhancing product quality and instituting best practices in production process.
• Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance of new products with regional FDA standards.
• Collaborate with finance, production and sales team to formulate product development proposals to senior management.
• Collaborate with technical marketing teams to resolve issues related to launching of new products.
• Responsible for maintaining and tracking KPI’s to monitor success of forecasted sales volume through commercialization of new products.
• Support the teams of purchase and supply chain in procurement of ingredients and processing machines for production trials.
• Prepare technical rebuttal for filed patent applications and support in filing new patents.

Achievements:
• Accelerated development of innovative vegetable fat filled spray dried powders in a compressed timeframe of seven months with limited team resources of three.
• Executed modification of R&D spray dryer pilot plant for commercial production increasing capacity from 10Kg/hr to 27Kg/hr of powder inclusive of spray dried powder patent (US20150104556 A1).
• Prepared technical rebuttal for filed patent application- US20150104556 A1 and supported in filing of two patents under process of publication.
• Played a key role in launching two UHT liquid products and one spray dried product in MENA region in a compressed timeframe of 18 months.
• Received approval from senior management for presenting proposal for commercialization of green technology oil refining project in collaboration with finance, production and sales team in a limited time frame of four months.
• Different Products developed:
 Fruit Powders - Mango powder for dessert and beverage applications.
 Improvers for Egg-free Bakery mixes - Doughnuts, Sponge cake.
 Dessert Applications- Whipping & Cooking creams, Soft Serve, Homemade Ice cream mix (Mango/Chocolate/Vanilla)
 Dairy Analogues- Tea/Coffee creamers, fat filled milk powders.
