Working in ADNOC Downstream Directorate and reporting to VP Asset management, have experience in Governance, Operations, Projects and Contracts of:
 ADNOC Logistics & Services - 100% owned by ADNOC (Reporting to: Vice President - Asset Management
 ADNOC Refining (TAKREER) - A joint venture between ADNOC (65%), Eni (20%) and OMV (15%)
 Borouge (Abu Dhabi Polymers Company) - A joint venture between ADNOC (60%) and BOREALIS (40%)
 ADNOC Fertilizers (FERTIGLOBE) - A joint venture between ADNOC (42%) and OCI (58%)
• Responsible to review and give recommendation on all issues above the Delegation of Authority of CEO of above companies for endorsement by Board members and approval by Chairman of the Board.
• Key Areas - Focused on (but not limited to) :
 STRATEGIC:
o Review strategies of ADNOC group companies and develop strategic plan for Unit. Then participate in developing ADNOC’s Corporate Strategy.
o Review Performance Contract/ Balanced Scorecard (BSC)/ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for corporate performance monitoring of ADNOC group companies and ADNOC Downstream Directorate. Track the progress and monitor achievements on a regular basis.
 PROCUREMENT/ CONTRACTS MANAGEMENT:
o Participate in TAKREER Shareholder Tender Board as alternate member. Review all the tenders’ proposals (Bidders List, Technical / Commercial Evaluation and Award of Order) above the delegation of authority of TAKREER CEO i.e. above USD 2 million and give recommendation accordingly.
o When the tenders are received in ADNOC downstream Directorate, support the Department / Unit Managers and ultimately the Director for high value Materials/ Contracts; and giving appropriate recommendations, to maximize commercial performance and ensuring areas of contractual and commercial risk are identified and managed appropriately.
o Follow the procedure as per the Financial Delegation of Authority to obtain necessary approval i.e. Director/ CEO/ SPC Ex. Comm./ SPC - on case to case basis. Accordingly communicate to the ADNOC group companies.
o Endorse invoices above 2 million USD.
o Hands on experience of contract dispute resolution.
 PROJECTS MANAGEMENT:
o Responsible for throughout the project life cycle i.e. Initiation - Feasibility Study - Conceptual Engineering / Feed/ Preliminary Engineering - EPC/ Execute - Operate. Represent ADNOC in Committees, such as Project Steering Committee & Project Technical Committee.
o Review the entire project strategy, scope of work, plan and schedule; to ensure it meets with the actual requirement. For errors/inconsistencies (if any), propose solutions to reduce those gaps.
o Monitor progress of the work. Address project management issues and keep the management apprised. Ensure delivery of the project on time and budget, and as per EHS requirements.
o Major projects handled are:
UDP (Urea De-bottlenecking Project) : Overall Budget 236 MUSD
FERTIL-2 Project : LEPC Budget 1.380 BUSD
 OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT:
o Review Annual Budget and Business Plan of the assigned company through budget workshop for board approval.
o Review progress of Operations, Maintenance, Turnaround & Shutdown through “Technical Coordination Meeting” on monthly basis, analyse gaps (target vs. current) and follow-up to close it.
o Track all operational agreements and ensure its available when required.
o Develop, review and revise Corporate Governance, and ensure it is followed.
o Develop Unit’s policies and procedure.
o Support and develop subordinates in achieving their performance target and provide guidance.
o Review and recommend on any other issues like financial resolutions, marketing strategy, etc.
o Review various reports of assigned company which includes Daily/ Weekly/ Monthly Management Report. Update top management monthly highlighting financial and production performance through generating “Monthly Executive Report”.

Responsibilities Completed: -

• Projects Management: Follow up GSEC (EPC Contractor) Pending issues i.e. Review pending / punch list and Project Warranty Defect Liabilities. Update and coordinate the issues till closure.

• Contracts Activities: Identify the External Service Contract where it is not commercially or technically justified to the provide service in-house. Develop Scope of work. Raise PR and follow-up till award of order. Mobilize the contractor for job execution. On job completion, check invoice & endorse / approve. Do Contractor Performance evaluation. Track all contracts and arrange for renewal or new contracts.

• Materials Planning: Review and update two years operational spares. Develop detailed bill of materials.

• Implement CMMS System (Vendor - Satyam Dubai): Act as owner of the SAP system for Maintenance module i.e. Define/ Update various Workflows, Master data (e.g. Equipments), Maintenance Plans; Review SAP system adaptability. Conduct training classes for O&M personnel for their adoptability.

• Procedures: Developed procedures for Planning Department. Focal point for all other departments.

• Reporting: Generate various Weekly / Monthly reports which includes:-
o Prepare management report (KPI - Key performance Indicators) on monthly basis and present it.
o Prepare Maintenance Department Budget & Cost report, Shut-Down report, backlogs and highlights.
Achievements: -
• Awarded “Appreciation Letter” by Maintenance Manager for Excellent Performance.
• Due to fatal incident happened in 6.6 KV Panel in sub-station, I was deputed to normalize the Electrical system assuring full safety. Necessary repairs were done. Also I designed modifications, got approval from OEM - ABB. Implemented the modifications and energized electrical system.

PLANNING ENGINEER at SAUDI ARABIAN FERTILIZER COMPANY

Was responsible for all Maintenance & Projects activities for SAFCO-2 & SAFCO-3 Urea Group of Plants.
Responsibilities completed: -

• Planning & Scheduling - For Daily Maintenance, Shutdown and Turnaround Activities:
o Review corrective maintenance (CM) work-orders, preventive maintenance (PM) work-orders, modification/ project work-orders and prepare scope of work.
o Compile required information e.g., Data Sheet / Drawings. Organize & attend Planning Meeting.
o Plan (arrange man-power, materials & services) and schedule as per priority.
o Review progress, highlight bottlenecks and take required action. Close orders with history.
Major equipments planned are Vessels, Rotary Equipments, Exchangers, Valves, Piping, Steam Traps, PLCs, Analyzers, Transmitters, Vibration Monitoring system, Radioactive Instrument, Weighing Scale, DCS, Control Valves, Motors, Transformers, Relays, UPS, DG sets, Elevator, Hoists, Fire Alarm, Cathodic Protection, etc.
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software used: Prism AS/400 & SAP R/3.

• Management of Change (MOC): If there is any modification/ project related job, ensure that it is approved as per MOC procedure, design meets standards, changes are economical, operable and meet safety, operations requirements. Follow-up MOCs till execution and closure.

• Waste Management: Ensure that wastes (Radio-active Waste, Chemical Waste and Non-Hazardous Waste) are stored and handled properly and disposed through BeeA’h or suitable contractors.

• People Management: Manage a team of 6 Supervisors i.e. 2 Mechanical Supervisors, 1 Electrical Supervisor, 1 Instrumentation Supervisor, 1 Workshop Supervisor and 1 General Services Supervisor.
Achievements:-
• Awarded “Certificate Of Excellence” by Chief Engineer (Planning), SAFCO.
• Presented my paper “Concept of Electrical Energy Conservation & Improvement in Equipment Design” in Middle East Petrotech 2006, held in Bahrain.

Testing of Motors (Upto 11 KV, 2550 KW), Transformers (Up to 35 MVA), Dy11/Dy1 Test of Transformer, Cables, Circuit Breakers (SF6, VCB, MOCB, BOCB, Air-Blast, ACB), HT/LT Bus-Bars, Insulating Oils, Lighting Arrestors, CTs, PTs, Hand Gloves, Rubber Mats, Cable Fault Localization, Relay testing & co-ordination (Electromechanical relays- CTMM, CMM41, CTM, CDG, CDAG, VDG, Solkar R; Numeric relays- MOTPRO & MM30) and Energy meters. Prepared all the Work-Instructions & Procedures.
• Indenting: - Indenting of the materials required for Electrical Maintenance.
• Brainstorming: Develop technical report for any tripping due to Electrical Fault, present the case within department, brain-storming, develop & design necessary modifications along with budget briefs, submit the changes for management approval. After approval, execute changes in Plant.
• Urea Revamp Project: Involved in Urea Revamp Project in Nangal Unit.
Achievement:- Awarded “Commendation Certificate” for Exemplary Performance by ED on 26th Jan’2002.
