As Field EOD/UXO-Seismic Acquisition/Processing Supervisor in Mexico as Client Representative of PEMEX on “Tampico-Misantla Basin 2D & Buscador 2D” high resolution geophysics/seismic acquisition projects performing the following activities:
•Conduct Technical Audit Tests prior to start up acquisition operation,
•As lead EOD Supervisor: Providing geophysical expertise required to manage large-scale unexploded ordinance (UXO) geophysical survey projects, performing high resolution geophysical data acquisition/processing of electromagnetic and magnetic data in Geosoft Oasis Montaj and/or other software for environmental or mine detection mapping (identifying contamination or man-made structures, buried mines) in a large-scale wells and O&G fields location:
•Conduct and document quality control surveillance audits of all UXO clearance operations to ensure compliance with established procedures;
•Implement and monitor non-conformance reporting, corrective action, and verification procedures to ensure feedback and follow-up processes are in use;
•Implement a product/process inspection sampling methodology to ensure compliance with contract requirements;
•Implement a phased control system (i.e. Preparatory, initial, and follow-up) requiring the contractor to plan and schedule work to ensure preparedness prior to commencing each new feature of work;
•Implement and develop quality improvement tools and conduct trend and root cause analysis to ensure work on site remains effective and efficient;
•Document, report, verify and ensure completion of all corrective actions to ensure all UXO survey and clearance operations comply with requirements
•Supervise on-site and quality control 2D/3D Highland, Mountain, Desert, Swamp and Road Seismic Acquisition programs to ensure efficient and reliable data acquisition,
•Work with various seismic acquisition recording techniques using explosives, vibrators as source of energy,
•Supervise to completion the seismic recording instrument quality assurance tests,
•Provision of daily written summaries of the survey operations, provision of a complete technical and operation survey report at the completion of projects, and provision of line completion report,
•Vetting of all invoices submitted by seismic contractors prior to submission to client for approval,
•Provision of technical advice in pre-survey planning of 2D/3D Highland, Desert and Swamp seismic surveys,
•Review all potential constraints to the survey operations and propose suitable acquisition parameters, systems and techniques to be used to ensure effective and efficient implementation of data acquisition operations,
•Provision of technical advice and QC in selecting the parameters for seismic data processing based on the operational constraints/problems experienced during the survey operations,
•Conduct technical studies and reviews of Geophysical contract specifications and also to propose standard guidelines for the QC Supervision of seismic operations,
The use of onsite data processing and/or data QC systems. and provide QC supervision of seismic data processing at the processing center.
