• Responsible for the implementation of
HSE approved plan procedure.
• Support the top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
• Support the top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition for what concerns safety aspects.
• Support the top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
• Ensures, in accordance with the corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company directives.
• Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
• Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
• Carries out any in-house safety training.
• Conducts safety audits both internal and external.
• Participate to HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
• Performs risk assessment.
• Preparation of health and safety documentation for new tenders.
• Provide safety support and advice, including supervisor on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.
• Responsible for making the work site safe for all employees in the company and ensuring that national health and safety standards as well as those provided by the company or local government, are met.
• Disseminates safety information and standard procedures to all departments to be carried during working hours.
• Responsible for making changes to design specifications and creating fail-safe systems, and generally for proposing safety requirements in product design.
• Study and review the method of statement prior to their activities.
• Coordinates with mining engineer before and after blasting operation for the safety of manpower and equipment on site that is beyond blasting radius.
• Conduct and update hazard identification, Risk assessment and adequate control measure.
• Identify failure modes and make recommendations to add extra equipment to mitigate the workers.
• Assist the Lifting Engineer for calculating and making Lifting Plan.
• Study and Review the Lifting Plan as per Heavy Lift Procedure and Crane Configuration.
• Interface with electrical engineers about the proposed power source to energize plants, buildings and temporary facilities.
• Conducts daily audit inspection to maintenance department about the proper storage and disposal of lubricants.
• Coordinates to Environmental Department about the disposal of hydrocarbon, carcinogenic materials and hazardous materials at Mine site.
• Develop and maintain (EMERGENCY REPONSE PROCEDURE) Plan and assist Emergency drill.
• Conduct Health and Safety awareness program to ensure the workers are using appropriate PPE.
• Interface with civil engineering department before conducting excavation and other earthwork activities.
• Maintain HSE records as per Management system.
• Preparing the results of auditing & site safety inspection
• Issuing Non-conformance report (NCR) and Corrective Action Request (CAR)
• Completing job hazard analysis for specific construction activities
• Investigating and documenting all accidents, incident and near misses and developing steps to prevent recurrence
• Recording and maintaining the statistics of industrial accidents
• Composing and Managing the Health & Safety organization
• Establishing and reversing Safety Management Plan
• Assigning of the person in charge of risk assessment relating to health & safety and approving risk registration log
