Gulf of Mexico Exploration Manager 2006-2008:

•Led Shell’s Gulf of Mexico Lease Sale efforts, including coordination of technical regional play analysis, prospect identification and economic evaluations, and developing the bid strategy to execute Shell’s Lease Sale 205 / 206 “blitz”. Added 69 deepwater blocks to renew portfolio in focused plays, with an overall win rate of 83% in the most competitive GoM Lease Sales since 1983, including acquiring all top drill blocks. $ 650 MM exposure, $554 MM high bids. 5 discoveries have been made since 2008 on the Shell GOM portfolio ( 1 Bboe gross resources ).

•Oversaw a basin-wide seismic acquisition and processing project which created a regional PSDM database to unlock imaging of the sub-salt plays. Responsible for an annual seismic budget of $100 MM.

•Created, recruited, and managed a world-class technical Regional Team, which produced a basin wide regional study “from the basement up” that underpinned the ranking and selection of new acreage acquisitions and disposals.

•Directed a team of 55 technical professionals and managed cross-organizational studies and discovery hand-overs with GoM Production and E & P Research.

•Prepared and managed GoM Exploration budget ( $600 MM ), strategy, area venture and business plans, and “Investment Proposals” and presented to Global Senior Management in The Hague.

•Led major Government Relations team efforts with the U.S. Congress and MMS to influence oil and gas legislation in the U.S.
