Supervision consultancy services for North Eatern Railway Tunnel Projects in Mizoram India
•Responsible for all Geological and Geotechnical inputs to DPR preparation and Detailed Design Engineering Consultancy Services related to Hydropower and Infrastructure Projects including Tunnels.
• Project Co-ordination for all the activities viz. Bathymetric Survey, Traffic Survey, Market Analysis etc. pertain to Two Stage Detailed Project Report of Cluster-VII National Waterways in the state of Maharashtra and Goa.
• Successful preparation of Geotechnical appraisal for the Pre-feasibility Study of River Yamuna for navigational purpose and integrated development in Delhi region.
•Completed the geological aspects of Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for Nandprayag-Langasu HEP (100MW) Uttarakhand, Patnazi Bunjwah HPP (19.5MW) J&K, Suil HEP (9.5MW) Himachal Pradesh, Nyabarongo II River Valley Multipurpose Project, Rwanda, Africa etc.
• Geotechnical inputs at Bidding stage for the DPR preparation of a number of Hydropower Projects viz. Patnazi Bunjwah HPP (19.5MW), Suil HEP (9.5MW), Nyabarongo II River Valley Multipurpose Project, Rwanda, Tidong II HEP (60MW) etc.
• Prepared Inception Reports, Geotechnical Base Line Reports, slope stability and rock support design analysis using UNWEDGE, DIPS and PHASE2 Softwares.
• Involved in Detailed Design Engineering Consultancy Services for Rangit-II HEP (60MW) Sikkim and Grand Katende HEP (16x4 MW) Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa.
• Visited Grand Katende HEP (16x4MW) at D. R. Congo and anticipated the engineering geological conditions with full accuracy for the project layout and civil structures.
• Carried out Slope Stability Analysis for the Open Power Channel and Power House excavations and successfully executed at Grand Katende HEP (16x4MW) in Democratic Republic of Congo as per designed slope provided with required protection measures.
• Review of design reports and drawings in concern to project geology, geotechnical parameters for civil design, rock supports for underground, open excavation and slope stabilization etc. for Tehri PSP (1000MW).
•Maintained the relationship with the client, understanding the tender document and expedite the work as per technical specifications.
• Liasoning with different agencies of International standards, Government bodies for the smooth working of the operations and approval of reports particularly DPR.
•Carried out all Geological and Geotechnical investigations related to Underground excavations of Head Race Tunnel of Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Power Project (520MW) by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and Conventional Drill & Blast Methods.
•Reviewed and assessed the geological data and geotechnical reports and feedbacks for the successful excavation of HRT by TBM.
•Optimized the geology and tectonic structures along the HRT alignment and recommended the rock support design details in accordance to anticipated rock mass conditions for the successful tunneling in problematic geological conditions.
•Using geological research identified and demarcated possible hazardous zone and organized various drilling and grouting programs at Head Race Tunnel sites of TBM and Drill & Blast methods.
•Supervised a team of subordinates for various types of geotechnical job viz. Core logging, Face logging, TBM operation geological reports, 3D logging of tunnel, rock mass classifications, related to Hydropower Project.
• Carried out Advanced Probe Hole investigations and interpreted the rock mass condition ahead of the tunnel faces under execution by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) and traditional drill & blast method.
•Visited Austria on invitation of ALPINE Bau GmbH to unravel and final assessment of the complexity of geology along Head Race Tunnel of Tapovan Vishnugad HPP (520MW) in Himalaya.
• Carried out all Geological and Geotechnical investigations and interpretations of the geology for the successful Dam excavation/stripping and underground excavations of De-silting Chambers (Cavern), ADIT to GOC and Silt Flushing Tunnel.
• Reviewed the existing geological data, maps. Cross sections, geotechnical reports of DPR stage, contract documents and provided geotechnical inputs for excavation of 130m height concrete Dam, Silt Flushing Tunnel, ADITs, Desilting Chambers etc. related to Hydro Electric Project.
• Established the rock line at the Dam Site Right Bank of Punatsangchhu-I Hydro Electric Project.
• Monitored the open and underground excavations in accordance to anticipated geotechnical conditions and suggested the rock supports, excavation methodologies as per geological conditions.
• Supervised a team of subordinates for various types of geotechnical job viz. Core logging, Face logging, 3D logging of tunnel, rock mass classifications, grouting programs etc. for the successful execution of civil structures related to Punatsangchhu-I Hydro Electric Project Dam Package.
• Maintained the relationship with the client PHPA to expedite the work as per contract document technical specifications.
• Carried out all geotechnical investigations/works related to Tunnels execution under AFCONS in remote and geologically hazardous areas of Himalaya in Jammu& Kashmir, India.
• Prepared the geological maps, cross sections, geotechnical reports for design and execution of tunnels (T39 to T47) in Barala - Daram section of USBRL Project, Jammu & Kashmir.
• Meticulously worked out and unravel the complexity of geology and tectonic structures along the tunnel alignments and recommended the rock support details for the successful execution of tunnels particularly T40-41, T43, T46 and T47 and Sangaldan Station Yard at 2613 KRCL Tunnel Site in Barala - Daram section of Udhampur - Srinagar - Baramula Rail Link Project, Jammu & Kashmir, India.
• Monitored the geotechnical conditions of tunnel sites. Carried out the core logging, probe hole logging, face logging, 3D logging of tunnel, rock mass classifications, and support recommendations as per geological conditions.
• Maintained the relationship with the client (KRCL), and prepared various claims due to geological reasons in accordance to the tender document.
• Identified the Quartzite Quarry in suffice with the project requirement and successfully operated for the production of about 15000 MT per month for the crusher plant.
• Actively involved and identified the Quarry locations to avail the coarse and fine aggregate construction material for prestigious Rohtang Tunnel Project.
• Provided geotechnical inputs during the stage of preparation and submission of bid for the Jammu - Udhampur Highway Project.
• Liasoning with different agencies and government bodies for the smooth working of the operations.
