Now, holding a position as a consultant/lecturer in Demerdash hospital in the SICU surgical intensive care unit also the ICU for neurosurgery and post-trauma patients since 2007.
Administrative/ Management Experiences
As an assistant lecturer I was in charge for ICU-A in ASSUH for 2 years and I had to manage with both medical and managerial aspects concerning the ICU (72 hours every week)
Also, I am responsible for managing the post-surgical ICU (SICU) in Demerdash hospital and I organize the publication of the ICU annual journal and organize monthly management meetings for registrars and residents.
Teaching Experience
I was involved in teaching medical students in small groups and teaching interns of Ain shams university hospitals about advanced life support and CPR.
I was also involved in teaching high nurses of Ain Shams faculty of nursing in courses and examinations for CPR and advanced and basic life support.
I am involved in teaching anesthesia registrars and interns about basics of management of critically ill patients especially post-surgical cases, post-trauma cases and post-neurosurgical cases.
Research Experience
In 2003 doing my master's degree I did a research involving the current concepts of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
In 2007 doing my M.D degree studies I did a research project invisgating the use of magnesium and verapamil in cold-blood cardioplegia solution for patients undergoing CABG investigating the myocardial protection advantages of both drugs and which is to be more superior in this concern.
In 2011-2012 I work together with one colleague in a new research concerning the use of Dexmedetomidine in local anesthesia in eye surgery
(Dexmedetomidine versus Clonidine as an adjuvant to peribulbar block in vitroretinal surgery)
In 2011-2012 I also work in a new research about sepsis in critically ill surgery patients in surgical ICU
(Evaluating the diagnostic and predictive value of neutrophil CD64 and Procalcitonin in Sepsis)
