To lead an assigned year group to achieve high quality teaching, and the highest standards of learning for year 7 pupils through a creative and rigorous curriculum. I take an active and positive role in the development of curriculum attainment and progress within the school as a member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with parents and staff on students’ behavior, attendance, punctuality and welfare matters keeping them informed regarding issues and actions.
• Use of ISAMs school management system to track students’ progress and manage behavior.
• Analyse pastoral statistics including behavior and reports are recorded and actions are taken to reach individual and group targets.
• Day to day responsibility for the behavior and rewards of the year group including implementing lesson checks, managing behavior escalations, reporting mechanisms, detention and exclusion processes in paper work.
• Communicate positive and negative concerns to tutors and parents working with them to ensure improvements when there are concerns
• Identify pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
