Established project requirements, in conjunction with project engineer, factory/production manager and technical manager with regards to the scope of project, job specific procedures and formulating \nrequired material specifications, man hour estimates and staff nominations for proposals and other \ntender projects and deriving overhead and administration cost. \n \n2. Ensure that the quality of the cost engineering service meets the market & production set standards and also to ensure quality assurance and quality control systems are maintain laid down in the \nContract Executions Procedures, through regular project audits and maintaining close liaison with client and/or consultant to maintain satisfactory working relationships and to identify potential \nproblem areas. \n \n3. Participated in contract negotiations for a variety of programs, subcontractors, and customers. This \nparticipation has included strategy planning, contract clause evaluation, cost engineering, \nestimating, face-to-face meetings with contractors, consultants and customers, and price \ndevelopment. \n \n4. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION: QUANTITY SURVEYOR / COST ESTIMATOR AL SALAM FURNITURE INDUSTRIES W.L.L. \nJune 2004 - June 2008 (ISO 9001: 2000 Certified) \n \n1. To take actual costing of item/s based on prevailing market standards and to propose \ncompetitive current ergonomic materials on the market but cost efficient. \n2. Surveying given tender that includes; site inspection, construction details, requisition of drawings and specifications from the client. \n3. Established costing procedures defining all the considerations and aspects to be included in costing, maintains and establish value engineering prior to costing. \n4.
