• Responsible in identifying occupational health hazards and trends in the workplace, monitor relevant legislation and best practice and develop and implement cost effective and relevant health surveillance programs.
• Formulate, implement and evaluate policies and strategies for occupational health protection, surveillance of workers, and promote employee’s health and wellbeing in line with company occupational health strategy.
• Conducted Health Risk Assessment and In-country health resource assessment for the offices & plant processes (Done in Turkey, China, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah & Oman)
• Develop and update the project Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Medical documents & procedures.
• Responsible in the provision of health surveillance, vaccinations, sickness absence management, investigations of cases of occupational ill health, and other general OH issues.
• Creating and executing studies to monitor and assess employees' exposure to health risks, and to measure effectiveness of occupational health programs, policies and procedures.
• Conducts site and office audit- (Integrated Management Systems, Life-Saving Rules, Safety 7, HSSE Functions)
• Provide expert technical advice on job-related industrial hygiene & occupational health issues and provide health information/education for individuals or groups.
• Provide technical advice as required to stakeholders on medical protocols and emergency medical treatment.
• Involving in proposal stages regarding set-up of clinical facilities & purchase of emergency medical equipment, ambulances, and interview of medical staff to man the site clinics.
• Provide on boarding and training of new medical staff for new projects.
• Responsible in arranging the occupational health & hygiene awareness programs in both offices and at site
• Ensures regular emergency response is effective and that managers and employees are prepared always. In addition, designs and conducts drills, both announced and unannounced.
• Conduct Case Management training for site HSE Managers, Site Administration/HR and Site Health Team
• Ensure the development and Implementation of Food Hygiene program (HACCP) for projects including documentation, training, and audits.
• Training the personnel on Emergency Response, Basic First Aid + CPR & AED, Accidents prevention etc.,
• Participation in hazard identification, reporting of sub -standard acts and conditions, near misses and incidents pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety
• Review /Advise/Approve medical reports for fitness for task health assessment & coordinate with HR in review and approval of new candidates
