Reporting directly to the CEO and the BOD, tasked to enhance an Interior Design and Joinery Fabrication Division to bring in house the manufacturing of joinery. Advance the company’s production and aid in establishing new opportunities for the business.
- Establish company policies, procedures and develop the company’s Factory, Production and purchasing functions as well as the day-to-day operations of the business.
- Develop long range and annual plans, evaluate and report progress, manage both the gross revenue and cost elements of the company's profit and loss account.
- Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the company, and leadership in long range financial planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the company.
- Oversee the compliance of all legal requirements that affect the company businesses and operations.
- Responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organising, and decision making to attain desirable profit-making results for the organization.
- Responsible for all fixed assets, Specification of all Machines and equipment, including full training and optimisation software, agreed processes and arranged discounts, with large savings having dealt and purchased directly from manufacturer.
- A large investment for the construction and development for high-quality joinery, furniture, shopfitting, and interior refurbishment. Enhance an old Factory employ Staff and arrange up to date training on all new equipment.
- Liaise with HR for developing skilled people for factory operations.
- Directly, and through delegation, coordinates activities required to assure optimum safety and environmental
compliance, plant efficiency and reliability, in accordance with established contracts, agreements, policies and applicable
regulatory laws and procedures.
- Develop and execute Plant and Designs.
- Managing design team and whole activities, Customer relationships in a positive and professional manner.
- Makes and/or approves major operating, business, engineering and maintenance decisions, as required, to ensure that the plant is operated within the terms and conditions of all operations and maintenance (O&M), management, power
purchase, services supply or maintenance contracts and agreements.
- Holds direct responsibility for managing cost by effective approval expenditures, overtime and effective budge
- Monitoring and monthly variance reporting.
- Coordinates all activities under the applicable O&M services contracts, supply agreements.
- Coordinates and maintains all plant training and communication programs.
- Provide leadership for the successful operation of the manufacturing plant including: production, quality control,
maintenance and receiving.
- Establish and review production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure orders are filled on time
while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
- Motivate Employees to maintain production and quality levels by establishing measures of tracking. Performance and
setting individual employee and team goals.
- Monitor processes, operation expenses and research ways to cut waste, improve efficiency and enhance productivity
while maintaining product quality.
- Work with product development personnel to develop new products and strategies. - Maintain efficient Inventory levels
- Review and understand the Architectural plans/drawings and designs for project & production coordination to make concerned person understand. - Review and make documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, deliveries and material priorities. - Responsible of maintenance of machines and tools for good production process. - Organize and follow up foreman's priorities according to production schedule. - Assist the FM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules - Chair site & office meetings to distribute minutes to all project & production team members. - Review field inspection reports from Consultants & foremen throughout the life cycle of the project. - Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others. - Keep the Factory Manager (FM) and others informed about project & production status also issues that may impact client relations - Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades. - Use project & production scheduling and control tools to monitor projects & production plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures. - Assist the FM in the review of Contractor quotations to ensure that only fair and reasonable pricing is recommended for approval. - Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.
