• Monitor hygiene and sanitation of entire site, camp area, stores & cooking/washing area if any
• Oversees and inspects site conditions to determine if hazards are present and overcome those hazardous situations.
• Assist in the submittal of conformity reports on daily, weekly, and monthly audit reports for the sites.
• Guide construction management team to rectify and submit a conformity report within the given time frame with CC to Safety officer and HSE Manager.
• Highlighting safety gaps by raising EHS observations to contractors and construction management with CC to Safety officer, HSE manager, and Project manager.
• Assist in the closeout of observation reports
• Minimizing unsafe acts or unsafe conditions at the site by issuing safety alerts to the construction management team.
• Ensuring HSE concerns are rightly addressed by the project construction management team daily by representing EHS in site progress meetings
• Advising construction management on logistics management, housekeeping standards, planning and organizing basic infrastructure, deployment, and maintenance of construction equipment, garbage chute,
• road, fencing, access and egresses, auditing standard of labor accommodation provided on the site.
• Will assist the safety officer during safety investigation to determine root causes, what procedures may have gone wrong, and to gather the evidence necessary to identify the cause of the accident

• Carry out investigations of serious accidents in accordance with Company Policy and prepare and provide statistics.
• Coordinate with site management to organize any necessity of site to maintain Environment Health and safety standards at the Peak.
• Supply any necessary literature for use or display at sites or work places.
• Carry out regular inspection of sites and work places to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Method Statement’s and the relevant statutory provisions. Provide an Inspection Report to site management and send a copy of the report to the General Manager, Area Manager and HSE in charge.
• Identify and advise site management by giving suitable recommendations to resolve potential hazards on site before the commencement of any specific works.
• Compiling reports on safety and health activities including safety inspection reports.
• Record and analyze of information on injuries, damage and production loss, assess accident trends and review overall safety performances.
• Attend a role in planning and updating the Company’s Safety Organization Chart.
• The preparation of safety and health requirements, compiling the project safety manual and all related procedures.
• Ensuring all United Arab Emirates Government regulations concerning safety and health are implemented in the execution of the project.
• Ensuring that all safety equipment and personal protective clothing used on the project is suitable for use and complies with the approved standard.
• Deploy safety representatives at the work place as required and coordinate, review safety inspections reports from site,
• Conduct periodical visits with the team on site and update site issues to the Project Manager and get the issues solved on time.
• Provide information and advice project management on Environment Health and safety requirements.
• Promote a regular exchange of information with related to current safety performance records.
• Maintaining the subcontractor’s safety performance and advising the Project Manager on subcontractor’s safety performance record.
• The preparation and implementation of administrative plans for reports, records, statistics and special safety meetings.
• Conduct Internal HSE audits and ensuring that any safety violations observed are immediately corrected and that the employees responsible for the violation are educated and supervisors cautioned and instructed on the proper method of work.
• Conducting joint project safety inspections with the sub-contractors representatives within their areas of responsibility and assisting them in providing on the job safety training for their employees where required.
• Compiling reports on safety and health activities on site.
• Liaise with site management to ensure that all work is planned and conducted safely.
• Liaise with local medical staff and monitor injury reporting system.
• Conduct accident investigations and notification to management of all findings.

• Provide necessary induction trainings to all concerned.
• Identify necessary trainings and arrange the same.
• Hold Safety Meetings with site staff monthly and with workers weekly.
• Ensure effective supervision at site.
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are safe for use and in good condition.
• Give proper safety instructions / tool box talks to the Engineers / Foremen before starting an activity.
• Ensure site personnel/ subcontractors’ personnel are wearing the prescribed PPE for the activity.
• Render help to injured or sick and provide required medical treatment facility immediately.
• Report all near misses, incidents and accidents to the Project Manager without delay.
• Ensure the relevant safety instructions, signs and symbols are displayed in the prominent areas.
• Initiate the necessary disciplinary measures for violation of safety procedures of the site.
• Issues, checks and ensures compliance of site work-force with the approved Safe Work Permit System in accordance with local regulation imposed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist Safety Manager in carrying out his duties and responsibilities
• Assist the Safety Manager in conducting full investigation of accident/incident, including near misses. Determine probable causes, develop, circulate and enforce appropriate permanent preventive measures.

• Closely monitor false/unsafe work and scaffold erection/dismantling work, permit-required confined space entries, crane work/lifting operations, hot work, equipment and similar hazardous activities and ensure that all relevant requirements are complied with.
• Reports to and assist the Project Engineer in the overall implementation of HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) policies.
• Conduct regular weekly safety inspection; prepare weekly safety reports.
• Prepare job hazard analysis and monitor compliance of workers regarding pre-task planning procedures (Work Plan).
• Conduct daily safety talk related to present work activity and previous safety requirements.
• Responsible in issuing disciplinary action on all safety related violations.
• Reports to the Project Safety Manager, implement overall safety program of the company, perform continuous monitoring at work site and ensure compliance of the work force with the company’s safety program and relevant policies, procedures and requirements.

• Maintain updated safety records of: incurred injuries, accident/incident, and fire near misses; evaluate prevailing causes and establishes appropriate permanent preventive measures.
