Working closely assisting the Resident Engineer or the immediate assignedSite Manager. Review and understand all project contract documents, such as shop drawings; coordination drawings; specifications; Method of Statements; RFIs; related contract documents, etc.. Coordinate with other site engineers& inspector’s before commencing construction activities. Identify any discrepancies against contract documents and notify the Resident Engineer in order for corrective action to be immediately taken. Assist the Resident Engineer (if requested) in resolving issues raised by contractors, such as change order requests, requirements for time extensions, variations, etc. Review related technical data & material, construction materials and finishes samples submitted by contractors; ensure compliance against contract requirements and technical specifications. Review architectural items within the Contractor’s Construction Schedule (CCS) in coordination with the Planning Department (e.g. shop drawing submittal log, procurement schedule, and material submittal log etc.) prior to its approval by the Resident Engineer. Review and assess contractor’s pre-qualifications, inspect Contractor’s recommended showrooms, workshop/factory as needed or required. Study and review profile & history of sub-contractor’s and make recommendations to the Resident Engineer. Conduct supervision responsibilities in adherence to guidelines as indicatedin the Company Supervision Manual. Attend various off site inspections (including out of country inspection) for review of specific material/samples, mock-ups, testing, etc. as per the contract document. Inspect related procured construction materials delivered to the site, to ensure compliance against approved contract documents such as specifications, Material Submittals, etc. Ensure that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer’s recommendations in order to avoid damage of materials. Review & verify “mock ups” and “progress work” against contract documents; provide comments and recommendations to the Resident Engineer as if necessary or required. Ensure the control of on-site quality work standards (e.g. through adequate storage of materials, thorough testing and verifying of materials, contractor’s submittal of written undertakings, warranty and protection of installed systems etc.) Attend meetings (e.g. progress meetings, coordination and specially called meetings with clients etc.) as and when required. Lead in resolving design and technical coordination issues with Finishes, Structure, Electro-mechanical, landscape, etc. on the project. Participate in preparing progress reports and in verifying costs related matters in order to finalize monthly payment certificates. Lead the snagging procedure after substantial completion of construction activities have ended; ensure that a snag list is prepared based on defective/outstanding works for the contractor to rectify, repair and complete for de-snagging inspection. Review related as-built drawings provided by the contractors prior to their submittal to local ministries for approval. Ensure that the contractors submittals to local ministries are carried out in atimely-appropriate manner as specified in the contract documents
Scope of Responsibilities: 1. Working closely under direction from the Technical & Project Manager. Acting in a main contractor role as Technical Architect. 2. Arrange access to works contract through the technical manager and familiarize with the requirements of the contract for technical supervision, coordination and implementation duties. 3. Attend technical, construction, coordination and workshop meetings prior to the development of the project. 4. Seek client/consultant approvals for pre-qualifications of sub-contractors and suppliers, methodologies, sample materials, testing and site mock-ups. Carry-out coordination and supports to hasten submittal procedures. 5. Provide supervision, information and supports to technical team prior to carry-out all architectural shop and as-built drawings. 6. Owner and keeper of all architectural and general construction design & shop drawings made on site. 7. Provide useful information to construction and QA/QC department prior to close NCRs. 8. Do site check-ups in some occasions prior to project planning and preparations.
Reports directly to the Project Manager; Attend QA/QC and Construction Meeting; Review & study Design/Shop Drawings prior to RFI submittals; Coordinate with the Technical Department along the progress of the project; Respond to Contractor's RFI's. Study Method of Statement, Material Submittals and other construction documents. Submit weekly progress report and sketches; Issue NCN, SVN, SON and other construction issue documents to correct contractor's mistakes and lackings. Coordinate with fellow inspector engineers in various dicipline including the contractor's QC and const. engineers; Attend ITP, MQP and other related quality mock up testing agendas.
As Site Inspector;
1. Liaising and working closely under direction from the Site Architect. Acting in a Lead Consultant role as site inspectorate representative.
2. Carry out all Architectural Inspection tasks and duties in accordance with the Construction Contract requirements and QA & QC work procedures.
3. Arrange access to works contract through the Site Architect and familiarize with the requirements of the contract for site supervision duties.
4. Obtain from the Site Architect all project procedures and proformas for use in site works quality control and site supervision duties.
5. Coordinate with the contractor prior to all inspection activities as well as safety site implementation.
6. Utilizing computer software for the document and drawing control.
7. Assist the Site Architect maintaining full set of Design drawings, schedules, specifications and other related documents.
8. Maintain a Daily diary, which should include; weather, inspections and testing carried out on site, NCN/SVN & Site Observations raised, Contractor’s resources, Key events/meetings/client visits, and new activities started.
9. Participate or attend QA/QC and or Contractors Progress meetings.
10. Maintain records for all site inspection and prepare weekly status reports.
11. Conduct safety inspection and supervision daily.
Scope of Responsibilities:
1.Reports directly to the Project Manager.
2.Conducts site supervision of on-going projects.
3.Maintain files of approved shop drawings and approved material samples.
4.Checks and implements safety and fire protection measures, environmental control and general cleaning of project site in compliance with Hospital standards.
5.Checks and approve materials submittals of on-going projects.
6.Inspects material upon arrival in the site if according to approved samples and submittals and ensures its safe storage.
7.Check & approve shop drawing submittals.
8.Plans, organizes and performs survey work to determine the precise location according to approved set of plans.
9.Establishes with the contractor, on-site accurate grid lines and permanent benchmarks.
10.Conducts inspection of assigned projects works as per approved shop drawings.
11.Performs daily inspections and updates progress report of the on-going assigned construction projects.
12.Submit daily & monthly report for each project site.
13.Coordinates between contractor and Hospital departments as required during construction of projects.
14.Prepares as-built drawings.
15.Prepares and participate weekly meeting of all department engineers & contractors.
16.Follows all Hospital and related Policies and Procedures.
17.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
As Design Architect;
1. Reports directly to the Office general manager.
2. Design and draw plans of vertical structures for clients in Auto Cad 2D and 3D presentations.
3. Prepares Colored (in Corel, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop presentations) building elevations as required by the Government Engineering Department.
4. Prepares materials estimate of designed building plans.
5. Conduct site survey and inspections as if necessary.
6. Coordinate with other department engineers for consistency of designed works.
As Site Project Consultant;
(eg. Yadmah 100-Beds Gen. Hospital)
1. Reports directly to the Consultant's project manager.
2. Study, checks and approve all shop drawings submittals and find defaults then make recommendation for any modifications.
3. Inspect, choose, and approved recommended architectural sample materials that will be use in the project.
4. Performs daily inspections and updates progress report of the on-going construction projects.
5. Closed monitoring of the assigned project on all construction activities and pursue supervisions and instructions according to approved plans and specifications.
6. Check, compute, and analyze contractor’s collection submittals and give recommendation to the Consultant’s project manager.
7. Report and coordinates with the Ministry of Health’s Consultant Engineers.
