• Performs complex design and engineering for all range of high, medium & low voltage electrical power and infrastructure networks and utilities, mega infrastructure master planning projects, land developments & renewable solar electrical projects in UAE and KSA regions ( Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam).
• Perform network studies, analysis, sizing, modeling and verifications for infrastructure networks and associated utilities including mega master planning projects.
• Provide feasibility studies, concept, detailed & tender design for private developers and governmental companies projects.
•Set up design delivery program and allocate resources.
•Prepares and issues complete design, specifications, scope of works, BOQ, tendering & evaluate bidders.
• Provides technical guidance and supervision to engineers assigned to the projects
• Leading the internal and external technical coordination works with other disciplines, clients and stakeholders.
• Liaising with authorities for technical discussion, review till final approvals.
• Develop technical options, present and discuss with the clients for the best techno-economical solutions & working with respective authorities to obtain approvals for the selected options.
• Act in as advisory capacity for engineering related matters.
• Maintains awareness of the project scope, timeframe and deliver design on time with assuring QA/QC process implementation is maintained throughout the project’s life cycle.
• Verifying all works performed by the engineers before issuance & ensuring all design are complying with the scope, code and specifications.
• Provides technical reports and progress to clients, authorities for all projects related technical subjects.
•Technical & project management lead of substation engineering & management work of large and complex EHV/HV substation projects (Air-Insulated Substations AIS/Gas-Insulated Substations GIS)
•Develop technical concept, single line diagrams, layouts, clearance checks, Primary & secondary engineering, prepare subsystem specifications, specify Ratings.
• Check supplier offers / designs and interfaces.
•Auxiliary design, prepare bill of quantities & cost estimation, prepare deviations And clarifications, review of factory acceptance tests plan, attend factory / site Testing
•Instruct, supervise and coordinate engineering teams with internal and external Partners, sub-suppliers, primary, secondary & civil engineers. Lead and attend Discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions.
•Overall responsible for managing and leading all engineering & site activities follow up, prepare for mobilization, erection, installation works, subcontractors schedules to ensure that all works are done in timely manner and meets the project delivery and client requirements.
•Provide design drawings, analysis, calculations, selection & Layout DRW’s for Electrical Substation (AIS & GIS) Projects up to 500kV, design work Including but not limited To following’s:
•Design of Electrical Equipment’s layout DRW’s
•Design of Earthing System DRW’s (Layout, Details) & Calculations.
•Design of Indoor & Outdoor Lighting System DRW’s (Layout, Details) & Calculations.
•Design of Cable trays/Ladders Layout & Details DRW’s with Filling Capacity calculations.
•Design of Cable Routing Layout & Details DRW’s.
•Design of Cable Trenches, Duct banks, Man & Hand holes Layout & Details’ Civil guide DRW’s.
•Design of Shielding System DRW’s (Layout, Details) & Calculations.
•Design of Busbar Sizing calculation.
•Design of low Voltage AC system design Including Aux TR’s Sizing, Main ACDB, Sub distribution board cables & circuit’s Breakers sizing calculations.
•Design of low Voltage DC system design Including Battery Sizing, Main DCDB, Sub distribution board cables & circuit’s breakers Sizing calculations.
•Applying co-ordination work with other disciplines involved in Same projects (Civil, Mechanical, ARCH, …etc)
•Base & detail design documents reviewing for High & Low Voltage Equipments with respecting to specifications & contract’s Requirements
•Client follow up & correspondences responsibilities to or From Project Managers/Engineers to meet the schedules & Progress.
•Projects’ Technical Specification Study in terms of scope of Work, Contractor requirements technically wise & adherence to apply Projects standard & specifications.
•Setting up time schedule preparation of substations’ Design DRW’s & Calculation with assuring to meet deadlines.
•Responsible for supervising drafters, designers, and other Engineers whenever required.
•Performing design activities including drawings & calculation for Both types of High voltage substations (GIS & AIS) with different High voltage levels (11KV, 13.8KV, 22KV, 33KV, 66KV, 132K, 220KV, 380KV, 500KV).
•Working with different HV scale substations projects with different
Clients in Middle East, Africa and GCC countries like:
-African Countries:
(Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Sudan)
-Middle East & GCC Countries:
(Syria, UAE (DEWA), KSA (SCECO)
•Projects technical specification & Contracts study.
