• Assist in improving electrical equipment reliability and availability through the implementation of Reliability Engineering principles, techniques, and tools, such as Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
• Communicate with other Maintenance Divisions and the Operations Department in SATORP to develop and maintain electrical equipment maintenance and reliability strategies.
• Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment maintenance activities, standards, and procedures.
• Assist in developing Predictive and Preventative Maintenance plans and procedures for all electrical equipment.
• Develop renovation plans for obsolescence; maintain high performance levels for Electrical Systems.
• Provide technical assistance and trouble-shooting support for all electrical equipment.
• Update and archive all relevant Electrical documentation, including work history and check sheets.
• Plan the schedule maintenance of 230KV GIS, 34.5 KV GIS, 13.8, 4.16, 0.48 KV SWGR accordingly take changeover without disturbing the plant.
• Supervise, coordinate and participate in developing and execution of the preventive & corrective maintenance plans and schedules of the plant equipment in Adar, Gumry and Moleeta FPF & FSF.
• Participate in planning, scheduling and execution of shutdown jobs and major overhauling.
• Establishing and implementing maintenance management system (MMS).
• Carry out the troubleshooting and root cause analysis of the equipment failures and problems and evaluate its performance to suggest modification / available new technology to reduce overall maintenance cost.
• Supervises maintenance contract negotiations and contractor evaluations. Reviews contractors’ performance during the execution of work and monitors quality of work and timely decisions.
• Undertakes all activities to achieve work quality in accordance with the Company QA/QC standards and procedures.
• Prepares the annual operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets for the Adar FPF and FSF facilities.
• Comply with Company Environmental Health and safety policy to ensure that the HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to.
• Develop National staff through a structured development and training program.
• Supervises the operation and maintenance of power interconnection systems in the field including the overhead lines, substations, switch gears, MCCs, AC & DC UPS and transformers.
• Under takes and participates in electrical engineering activities (In FPF and ESP & PCP wells) and provides support for existing or new production facilities.
• Perform failure analysis on equipment to determine corrective actions and drive design changes as necessary to prevent recurrence.
• Under takes related electrical studies handled in-house /or by consultants in conjunction with the designated project teams and other section within the production department.
• Review of vendor offers and approval of materials as per PDOC standards & specifications, Site inspection and approval of works against the approved documents and standards.
• Evaluate plant modification proposals and request for engineering support. Ensure economic and technically sound decisions are taken to meet the company requirements.
• Under takes related electrical contract with FSF contractor and ESP, PCP vender at the side and follow up and make planning for the new well tie in and energizing.
• Participate in preparation of maintenance annual master plan especially for electrical systems.
