I am Elham Amanzadegan, a dedicated university lecturer who has recently completed my PhD in urban planning. My academic journey has equipped me with a deep understanding of urban design and planning, which I pursued through my master's and bachelor's degrees as well. Over the years, I have worked diligently as a lecturer and have had the privilege of advising and refereeing numerous master's and bachelor's theses, which has further honed my research and mentoring skills. My PhD research, supervised by Dr. Manouchehr Tabibian and advised by Dr. Mohsen Habibi, delved into the realm of urban planning and design, particularly focusing on urban resilience, regeneration, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence and ICT. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute my insights to your research in Sustainable Urban Systems at the University of Michigan. The interdisciplinary approach that your department emphasizes aligns well with my experience in working collaboratively within diverse teams and my inclination to explore innovative solutions. In the course of my academic journey, I have gained a comprehensive skill set, including proficiency in software like GIS, Revit, and AutoCAD, as well as data analysis using R and SPSS. My recent exploration into AI, machine learning, and various algorithms has enhanced my understanding of their potential applications in the field of urban planning. Moreover, my experience with tools like VOSviewer, Gephi, and Cite Map has enhanced my ability to visually communicate complex data.
