Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer in all of the project phases as a key project team member. I'm in charge of the following responsibilities: \n(1) During the Engineering: \n• Analyzing the project needs and requirements with the market accessibility. \n• Carrying the necessary technical discussions with PMC/Owner \n• Attending, directing and following up with the engineering subcontractor to generate deliverables. \n• Review engineering documents to make sure that the design meets the project objectives and all recognized industrial codes and standards. \n• Creation of conceptual and basic (initial) design for the project. \n• Preparation of specification and other documents. \n• Reporting the status to the engineering team leader. \n \n(2) During the Procurement phase: \n• Sending RFQs to vendors with all approved supporting documents. \n• Direct communication with vendors for technical views. \n• Making Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE) for all offers. \n• Follow with third-party inspector (TPI) to make sure that all materials and other components are in compliance with the project’s specifications and requirements. \n• Self-inspection of the arrived materials. \n• Acquisition of material documentations. \n \n(3) During the Construction: \n• Prepare Work Execution Plan (WEP); and required tools and equipments to avoid any delay. \n• Task assignments for E and I team and coordinate with other disciplines to finalize the job in time. \n• Arrange the activities based on priority. \n• Make sure all works are in compliance with engineering documents. \n• Laying, glanding and termination of all cables as per engineering documents. \n• Prepare construction records (such as MIRs, RFIs, STQs, checklist … etc.). \n• Inspection and installation of all E and I facilities properly. \n• Testing all installed equipments prior to start-up. \n• Make logic test for system to ensure the effectiveness of the system respond. \n• Killing the punch lists for E and I system and prepare the Mechanical Completion Dossiers (MCDs). \n• Pre-commissioning, recording and reporting for E and I facilities. \n \n(4) During the Commissioning phase: \n• Checking all facilities are ready for start-up. \n• Following with vendors to cover all requirements and to make sure that all E and I facilities are ready for initial operation. \n• Task assignments for E and I team to be ready for commissioning. \n• Start-up all E and I facilities and monitor the operation of plant to reach the stabilization state. \n• Readings are recorded periodically. \n• Commitment with the approved commissioning procedure and vendor recommendations. \n• Executing the Performance Test (PT) and list the readings; and prepare the documentations. \n• Supporting the Client’s staff for operation and maintenance prior the handover. \n• Training Client’s staff and operator to deal with Custody Transfer Metering Skid and Compact Substation.

During this period, I was in charge of the following responsibilities: \n1. Review the tender documents to get well-idea about the project. \n2. Extract my partition of work scope and check it to make clarification or to coordinate with other sections if needed. \n3. Preparation all required documents (datasheet, specification, drawings, criteria... etc) with RFQ letter to send them to the vendor (manufacturer) for offering. \n4. Till arrival of offers, calculation and estimation of all required materials to complete this work shall be done and formed as MTO, BOQ. \n5. After arrival of offers, the offers status will be the most important step by revise all effects (cost, warranty, quality, shipment, payment term ... etc). \n6. Putting time schedule which includes procurement, construction and commissioning period. \n7. Estimation of all required manpower, equipments & tools. \n8. Design of some systems if they are not available in tender documents such as lighting system, earthing, lightning protection system. \n9. Calculation of electrical loads (power rating) to help in various uses. \n10. Making site visit to collect data if needed.
