Design and Review of Temporary works including enabling works for capping beam construction, excavation of the main and satellite shaft, base slab construction, primary and secondary linings for the maintenance Adit-tunnel-connection between the main shaft and satellite shaft, the secondary linings construction for main shaft and satellite shaft, the ventilation basement construction on the high level for the following projects:

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians and assist with professional development.
• Mange deliverables to tight program dates
• Ensuring designs are produced to industry standards and codes and are checked and approved to company quality procedure.
• Coordinate external consultants and third-party checkers.
• Liaison with clients and the project construction teams.
• Contribute to the success of the business with business development and aid tender bids when required.
• Provide technical support to the design and implementation of CSP activities involving construction or engineering.
• Manage Engineering Unit and relationships with key stakeholders in the construction process, including USAID, its construction quality assurance partner, CSP partners for design, supervision, environmental compliance, and construction contractors.
• Draft scopes of work for CSP subcontractors for construction, design, supervision, and environmental compliance, follow-up on progress, and review/approve deliverables.
• Initiate environmental risk assessment checklists and activity risk assessment reports for all related activities.
• Review and assess engineering designs, cost estimates, schedules, and technical scopes of works for the proposed construction projects for quality and feasibility.
• Lead on the verification and review of tender documents including general specifications, particular specifications, list of submittals, time schedules, general layouts, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Establish evaluation criteria and participate in selection process of construction subcontractors.
• Ensure construction subcontractors adhere to established work plans and submit deliverables on time and in accordance with technical requirements.
• Ensure all necessary compliance documentation, including environmental monitoring and mitigation plans, are completed for each construction project.
• Conduct field site visits when necessary to monitor construction projects throughout the program’s regional areas of operation and ensure adherence with the approved Quality Control Plan.
• Review site visit reports generated by USAID’s construction quality assurance partner and make sure all relevant comments are addressed and taken into consideration for all future similar activities, with a particular emphasis on safety and environmental compliance.
• Assist with oversight of the engineering and construction projects
• Ensure compliance of construction with drawings and standard practice
• Perform overall quality assurance over the construction activities
• Follow up with municipalities to assess their challenges and needs in the design phase of the projects.
• Coordinate with Municipalities & Local Authorities prior to start-up of the projects, during the execution phase. Review of design & Implementation of their needs, requirements, and concerns into the Project whenever feasible technically and financially.
• Follow-up on a monthly basis with Local Authorities/Municipalities/Union.
• Review and verify availability of updated approved documentations on site at all time
• Prepare of periodic field visit reports of the below listed projects of USAID, EU, and UNDP projects among others
• Conduct technical assessment, feasibility, and cost studies for project implementation
• Supervise the Operation and Maintenance of network, equipment, and tools
• Projects in portfolio include:
o USAID funded projects: LWP, Roum Wetland for Wastewater Treatment & Koura rehabilitation of water supply systems.
o UNDP funded projects: Qalaa New Vegetable Market, Sohmor Highway Bridge, Ain Bourday Reservoir 1500m³, Hadath Baalbeck Reservoir 300m³, Cold Storage Facilities in Qabb Elias, Zahle Pedestrian Bridge, Ali El Nahri Stadium
o EU funded projects: Wastewater management system in Hermel, Ablah, Fourzol, Zahle, Jbeil
o AFESD funded projects: Water & Wastewater networks in Al Qaa, Temnine, Seraaine, Chmistar,
Bednayel
• Led a team of engineers, foremen and workmen for different projects
• Coordinated between different trades; structural, architectural, and electromechanical
• Negotiated with local and foreign suppliers for procurement of approved material and equipment
• Tracked and followed-up on work progress and met deliverable
• Reviewed designs and coordinated with different teams accordingly
• Executed infrastructure networks, storm, sewer, water supply, low/medium voltage, telephones for a big project
• Constructed a massive reservoir
• Kept the bill of quantities and payment certificates in check
