As part of IT security team, our role is to implement new security solution after the assessment and security gap analysis, handed-over to the operation team, upgrade any End Of Life security products, responding to any audit (internal or external) finding and supporting the SOC team as L3 support on all the security solutions
Usually and before any new implementation or upgrade, we are studying the existing vendor related to the solution and we initiate Prove of Concept in order to compare technically with selective vendor, providing our recommendation in the final technical evaluation of the solution either a new solution or upgrade any EoL Security product, building a project plan after the awarding and start the project phases (initiation, planning, execution and closure)
I was working in SAMBA bank as outsource from the BMC company and I was part of the SOC team our main responsible was migrating the firewalls from Cisco PIX to Juniper Netscreen ISG and after the completion of this task, our daily tasks was to perform the daily activities on all the firewalls (configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance).
aside that we were maintaining and managing the SSIM that was handling all the logs of the servers and all network devices.
we were also responsible of all network security devices like ACS, IPS and APT.
