Leading a team of eight specialists engineers across the Mena region each has his specialties and certifications. Covering the following countries: UAE, Jordan, KSA, Qatar, and Kuwait. My main role:
• Leading and engineering from ground a fully remote data center build located in Georgia replicating the company systems with disaster recovery for the main critical data. The data center room was built from scratch following the ISO norms including floor enforcement, walls isolation, floor elevation, redundancy on the level of cooling units, security, electrical extinguisher, and networking plus smart UPS with remote ATS for remote power controller for all the available electrical devices. The room is fully controllable remotely from Lebanon even the lights and door.

Transferred from Erbil Rotana to ART Rotana in Bahrain for the pre-opening phase. The hotel was effectively operational on the 24th of December 2015.
Achievements during the opening and after:
• Managing a team of 6 persons. Including IT Assistant, officer, supervisor, Audio Visual Manager and 2 AV technicians.
• Deploying data center following international standards.
• Aragonite system was used in case of fire; the room has access control on the main door including 2 IP cams with live recording for security reasons.
• Deploying and programming the dancing fountain system which is special in this hotel and differentiate it from any other in the MEA.
• Structuring and deploying VMware hosts for a full virtual environment and taking into to consideration high availability of systems through load balancing.
• EMC2 deployment for a most reliable backup and accurate restore capability.
• Deploy SQl cluster to ensure systems DB highly availability for ERP systems.
• Opera PMS systems installation plus employees training.
• Deploy the OXI, Serenata, NOR1 system for online reservations.

• Acentic IPTV system deploying. All rooms includes Samsung IPTV controlled through the server room and connected with Opera through interface to display guest name on TV upon check in, billing info, and required messages posted by the hotel team.
• RMG system deployment for digital signage’s available in the hotel including almost all areas and meeting rooms in specific.
• Micros Symphoni deploying with 48 POS’s systems to cover all outlets in the hotel. Also system is connected to online reservation system where guest can choose chair by table and book it once approved by our F&B team.
• Full HP network system including the backbone switches with redundancy and POE switches in all the 14th floors and basements.
• Full HP Wireless systems including 380 access points fully covering the hotel.
• Main lobby LED lighting DMX system controller deploying with the engineering team. Those LED light are designed to display any required design or video through the canopy light.
• Deploying and programming the Vingcard system for rooms door access cards.
• Deploying all administration new PC systems with software installation. 119 PC’s was deployed.
• All systems deployed was required to have full documentation, manuals and licenses to be well organized under hard copies and soft copies to keep tracking for the opening process and follow deadlines to avoid any delay.
• Insure that each department is trained perfectly to avoid mistakes and all training was documented.
Now the hotel is open since December 2014 with a smooth infrastructure operation. This is a 5 stars hotel with 318 rooms and suits plus one presidential. Also we have the club Rotana lounge used for our VIP guests and eight F&B specialty outlets.

• Maintain MS Windows server 2000, 2003 and 2008 Servers and admin users systems.
• Main hotel system daily monitoring and new user’s management including: Opera Modules (Front Office, Sales & Catering), Micros 9700UWS, FBM System (Food Beverage Material System), SUN System (Accounting System) and VingCard system (magnetic door Lock system), OXI system for online booking system plus other dedicated systems for PMS (Property Management System).
• Maintain, configure and update the following hardware systems: ISA Sever, GFI web monitor, Exchange server (located outside Lebanon), Anti Virus Server, Active directory with virtual redundant AD, DNS, WSUS, WIFI system from Aruba, EntireTEC system for wireless accounting system, Office 2007 & 2010, Exchange mail configuration plus VPN access.
• Managing all IT data as precaution for an emergency or hardware failures plus full documents management (contingency plan study plus management).
• Alcatel PABX system management and upgrades. New extension deploying plus hardware was done in coordination with engineering as sometime new cables are required or even drilling.
• New CCTV cams plus DVR’s systems deploying, maintaining and monitoring.
• Deployed new UPS systems that can cover all main areas and systems for twelve consecutive hours controlled through network with automatic systems shutdown in case of any power failure for IT systems with SMS texting.
• All purchasing orders are managed by the IT plus specification through the purchasing department.
• Monthly trainings covering 3 sessions per month scheduled to train all users on new IT systems plus enhancing them technology knowledge.
Project Achieved:
• A fully new wireless system implementation in the hotel using mesh topology from Aruba
* Reconfiguring the active directory plus creating a secondary virtual DC for high availability.
• Deploy WSUS for windows update through one controlled source.
• New fully network structure implementation starting from the backbone to cabling and labeling.
• New ISA server installation and implementation for better network consumption and control from administration in addition to GFI web monitor to control every user activity.
• New Opera PMS was installed merging from Fidelio system with all it new IP interfaces.
• New backup system from Symantec with NAS server was designed and implemented in order to ensure full systems backup and recovery in case of any failures plus library tape drive.
• Merging Micros system from 8700 to 9700 with additional outlets added.
• Rebranding was done for the hotel, where now the Hotel is under Tamar Rotana instead of Hazmieh Rotana and all systems changes was scheduled to be changed with a definite time line in order not to affect the operation and the online reservation.

• Manage Siteisight servers through C-panel remotely through dedicated IP's using VPN tunnels. Most servers are located in USA.
• Manage Siteisight website contents, designing the website and the application page including many enhancements in the web application (this is the remote page, where the cam is monitored remotely by the user) plus adding new options like direct pen tool on the uploaded image plus much more (http://www.siteisight.com/democams.html).
• Take care of customers in case of any miss functioning cam (I was available twelve hours a day using US cell number)
• Troubleshoot all installed PTZ and Megapixel cam plus solar power systems every day to ensure good quality service and batteries power loads to avoid any circuit cut. All cams works over IP and images time laps plus videos are uploaded to Siteisight servers through secure FTP under my supervision and control.
• Configure and test new installed cams, CCTV, and DVR systems to be shipped to our customers from company producer to customer.
• Find new remote solutions to manage cams in case of any power or ftp problem failures.
• Send detailed report about cams performance and users log statistics at the end of every week to Siteisght CEO.
• Make new cams and enclosures purchase orders from Stardot technology under specific requirements and customers projects requirements (STARDOT, are the most advanced company in US concerning new IP cams production and satellite cams monitoring solution).
• Plan for new marketing ideas to get new customers from outside US market, and targeting the MEA market plus web marketing. This resulted in an initial 15% in sales increase in the MEA market which I do consider a personal achievement.
