Managerial tasks and responsibilities:
Managing the testing and implementation of the new project Euronet Credit Cards back office (with the issuer and acquirer modules), as well as all certification required with Visa and MasterCard.
Managing all regulatory projects with visa and Mastercard, including EMV and PCI.

Responsible for the administration of the main Bank of Beirut switch and its related ATM and POS networks, as well as host/authorizer/connections to local and international networks
Administration of overseas Bank of Beirut Atm switches, including Oman and Australia
Heading the innovatiom committee related to implementing advanced technologies on ATMs ( Nfc and contactless interfacing, security and compliance standardizations...)
Managing many Oman projects including EMV OMAN and e- payment gateway with central bank of oman that will be launched soon
Actively participating in the deployment of the 360 crm view software for branches
Responsible for orientation sessions on implementing new techologies
Member of the committee responsible for the migration to the new core banking system mysis fusion banking.
As well as other tasks and responsibilities.

Managing and implementing all Visa/MasterCard mandates in what relates to system changes.
Liaising with the IT department in implementing all new technologies (real time switch availability, compliance projects…)
Supervising the functionality of the main Fransabank switch and its related ATM and POS networks, as well as host/authorizer/connections to local and international networks
Actively involved in all PCI related projects (PCI DSS, PCI pin security…)
Developing needed reports /queries on existing databases*(access/Crystal Reports)
Supervising all ATM installations and monitoring.
Working with the Audit department on all related requirements.
Strategic and Managerial tasks and responsibilities:
Participating in formulating the policies and procedures related to PCI (Visa/MasterCard requirements), in cooperation with the IT security department.
Managing new technological projects (chip cards, EMV certifications…).
Controlling the Monthly income statement of the department.
My interim stay was mainly to set up the plan to launch the IT department and recruit the needed staff.
-Network infrastructure management, including AD management (DHCP-DNS…), users-groups management, group policy management…(MCSE track Cyprus 2005 till 2007)
-Administering the Lotus Domino mail server and the related tasks.
-Cisco routers configuration and management-setting up access and deny lists, vpn tunneling, configuring pix firewalls and other routers(wireless routers-layer 2 or 3 switches…)
-Supporting and administering the key World Vision business applications.( Sun and Vision IBM for finance, domino server databases for managing WV program operations, HR and payroll system, attendance system, inventory management system(sysaid)….).
-Helpdesk management (processing requests and maintaining a knowledge database).
-Responsible for introducing and testing any new technologies, as well as Making recommendations to management on the acquisition of new ones.
-Train subordinate IT staff as well as non-IT staff and built their capacity (Topics include: firewall security, operating systems, Lotus-Notes, ).
-Leading the IT function in the July war crisis 2006 in working closely with the Global disaster group on all issues related to IT, communication means as well as procurement issues.
Strategic and Managerial tasks and responsibilities:
-Responsible for developing, implementing and following up on the I.T strategy through yearly action plans and monthly key performance indicators.
-Managing the IT budget and all related I.T purchases and agreements.
-Setting the policies and procedures needed to facilitate all IT related processes.
-Leading the IT function to shift from the reactive method to the preventive method of doing business-actively engaging in all other business aspects as to better meet the demands of the organization
-Proactively participating with the Regional Office I.T group in planning and strategizing as well as building capacities throughout the whole Middle East and Eastern Europe Region.
-Handling budget allocation and policies and procedures-networking and telecommunications.
-Setting up VSATS and BGANS in remote rural areas of Pakistan as well as setting up VHS radios
-Going through all the process of Recruiting the IT manager and the IT officer.
-Setting up all the policies and procedures and ensuring that WV Pakistan is integrated in the Middle-East Eastern Europe Regional office
-Setting up Domino Server and AD through win 2003 server
-Controlling the procurement procedures (new server- laptops…) and setting up the wireless network in Islamabad
-Actively participating in the UN IT cluster meetings as the WV Pakistan representative (as well as representatives from other NGOS such as: Action Aid- Care- Oxfam- Save The Children…)
-Responsible for the network as well as the software - designing a software fully customized for the university as well as another one for accounting department
-Handled student transactions and the accounting process.
-Installed, configured and administered various software: payroll-library systems, as well as administering the university website.
-Built capacity through various I.T seminars and workshops
