After working in government schools for two years, I was selected to teach at the Mubarak
Bin Mohamed School. This public school is currently is currently working in partnership with
Vanderbilt University. Here we identify, implement, and research best teaching and learning
practices for the region. By addressing head on the challenges of teaching students who
often receive insufficient encouragement, learning support, or positive discipline in their
education, I have been able to make a long-term positive impact on my students'
