General Description: An esteemed non-profit organization for children and adults with special needs, specialized in therapeutic and curative education. Step Together includes a school, vocational college, inclusive programs, residential facilities, rehabilitation therapies, & alternative therapies.

As a Physical therapist I am part of a multidisciplinary therapy team. This team includes; occupational therapists, psychomotor therapists, physical therapists, speech & language therapists, psychotherapists, behavioral therapists, & social workers.
Patients and students are assessed by the team on an individual level and in class interactions. After a thoughtful evaluation, each therapist sets a treatment or preventive intervention based on his/her scope of practice. Treatment goals, interventions, reassessment, progress & challenges are discussed on a weekly basis as a team. Inter-professional or dual therapies are done when applicable.

Physical Therapy is provided as a consultative and therapeutic service for the students and educators. Generally, the goal is to optimise their human movement system, therefore improving their autonomy. Specific goals might include: improving range of motion & mobility, strengthening weak muscles, stretching spastic or retracted muscles, improving coordination & balance, correcting posture, facilitating neuroplasticity, applying motor learning principles for milestone sensorimotor developmental, alleviating pain, restoring function and independence, limiting physical deformities, improving cardiovascular and pulmonary function such as breathing rhythms, endurance, and agility.

Conditions that I work with include: sensorimotor developmental delays, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, intellectual disabilities associated with physical impairments, seizure disorders, spina bifida, visual impairments, any rare genetic or metabolic syndrome associated with regressive physical disabilities, ADHD, ADD, ASD associated with motor disorders.

General Description: Sacré-Coeur Hospital is the first official hospital in Lebanon. It's primary aim is to provide care for anyone in need of a professional medical service under multi-disciplinary supervision.

As a Physical Therapist I work with inpatients (acute care) and outpatients, I interact with different professionals in order to provide the best medical treatment. Those professionals include; nurses, physicians, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, cardiologist, dieticians, radiologists, aids, among others...

Cases I work with include (but not limited to):
Orthopedic cases--> hip, knee, ankle, and shoulder surgical interventions after trauma, rheumatological conditions, sprains/ strains, subluxations or dislocations, sports injuries, inflammatory conditions, among others...
Musculoskeletal conditions--> neck and back pain from nonspecific and specific causes such as disc bulging or herniation, vertebral degeneration, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, among others...
Neurological conditions---> stroke, brain tumor, brain or spinal cord injury, parkinson's, alzheimer's, guillain barre, among others...
Cardiovascular, pulmonary and other medical conditions---> COPD, Diabetes, Covid 19, pneumonia, emphysema, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, bronchitis, cancer, amputations, infectious diseases, cardiac surgeries among others...
