- Enforcing compliance to the Regulatory requirements.
- Overseeing and managing the Hazardous Waste Storage area and its disposal, to ensure regulatory agency compliance (i.e. Labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation and conducting due diligence on the waste disposal, etc.) are achieved.
- Establish and implement all training required to develop people competency.
- Leading the Incident investigation and Root cause analysis team.
- Calibration and inspection for all HSE tools / Devices and lifting equipment.
o Inspecting working places assigned by safety for hazard and detects the hazard operation control for all maintenance activities.
o Integrated Safety Studies (Risk Assessment - JSA - Hazard Identification - HSE Plans) for maintenance activities.
o Implementation and ensure the system, compliance, laws and regulation of HSE according to OHSAS 18001.
o Examine the location of any proposed work per commends other methods if condition is not safe and specify the precautions which are to be taken to assure the maximum degree of safety which can be obtained.
o Offer advice during inspection tours to all personal.
o Conduct training sessions in safety and fire prevention techniques.
o Making out the safety basic training for employees in work site.
o Distribute and working to insure the policy of NO ACCIDENT in work place.
- Daily site walks down on a regular basis on the power plant’s area to establish SHE presence and provide support for SHE matters during the Operations & Maintenance activities being performed by the staffs and contractors.
- Conduct daily and monthly SHE Meetings (Safety Committee Meeting)/Trainings and schedule as needed.
- Establish, implement, and managing the power plant SHE Programs (Briefing/Tool box/Work assessment etc.) to increase the awareness level of SHE to the staff and contractors
- Perform regular the power plant facility SHE Inspections.
- Conduct evaluation of PPE and to ensure its availability, proper use and maintenance of the PPE is done as per requirements.
- Enforcing compliance to the Regulatory requirements including company SHE policies and procedures.
- Maintaining and conducting the regular follow up to ensure the compliance with the ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards within the company is met at all time.
- Overseeing and managing the Hazardous Waste Storage area and its disposal, to ensure regulatory agency compliance (i.e. Labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation and conducting due diligence on the waste disposal, etc.) are achieved.
- Perform Storm Water Discharge sampling and documenting the events to ensure its compliance.
- Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
- Oversee Behavior Based / Observation, “STOP” Safety Programs.
- Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
- Conduct Fall Protection program, inspect all fall protection equipment and maintain inspection records.
- Contribute up to 20 % of travel to other branches (power plants, head office) for meetings, training, inspections, audits/assessments activities etc.
- Overseeing and initiating the Safety Incentive Programs.
- Administering and maintaining to ensure the compliance of programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Employees assistance program, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, Respiratory Protection, etc.
- Setting SHE management strategy and system KPI's as to align and comply with the Corporate requirements.
- Analyze SHE performance and take the necessary action to improve it.
- Set motivation tools to enhance SHE performance.
- Establish and ensure implementation of best safety practices is being performed at the power plant.
- Ensure that all personnel have received appropriate safety and health training and the correct PPE compatible with results of hazards / aspects assessment.
- Plan and implement SHE programs (e.g. inspections, campaigns and competitions) that will improve SHE awareness.
- Conduct management review according to procedures and follow up achievement of its recommendations are met and closed successfully.
- Establish and maintain a system for incident reporting, investigation and analysis.
- Ensure updating of SHE documentations is conducted regularly.
- Follow up on the legal & other requirements to ensure it is communicated to all levels.
- Evaluate Investigation of accidents and report it internally to relevant persons, and externally to the relevant authorities.
Responsible for implementing and maintaining EDC OH&S management system which was comply with OHSAS 18001 standard.
Responsible for sale and after sale support for ( Cummins & Yamaha marine diesel engine ) @ ( Onan Marine generator ).
