Almunjed H.S. is owned by the Sukhtian family. It is an agent for brand names like Caleffi, Plastica Alfa, Mech & Valvex. It distributes, to over 400 outlets in Jordan, valves, pipes and fittings mainly for the domestic water sector. I joined them as a Consultant identifying weak procedures, bottle necks and sourcing new products.
In November, I took up the responsibility of Supply Chain Manager. I audited the warehousing software, Bonanza, and participated in customizing it to meet our order procedure. I was reporting directly to the General Manager.
Responsible for the SCM of technical enquiries and the admin side of Contracts, Licences, Certification etc.
Information Technology and Computer Systems was a leading BaaN Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP, implementation company. My responsibilities were the administration of the Amman Head Office including the review, evaluation and completion of local projects. The local projects were completed and in addition new agency agreements for Interbiz and Accpac of Computer Associates for Jordan, Saudi and United Arab Emirates were awarded.
A family business that was then recently set up in 1997. My responsibility included the day to day running of the farm, its development, marketing and sales of its produce.
The company was set up by myself with an objective of benefiting from the then depressed property market. A cautious approach was followed, the criteria being a mix of location and a solid income stream. The portfolio was sold at multiples of the initial investment.
The company was set up by myself with activities in Export Services, Professional Placements and Business Services. In addition to participating in international tenders the company successfully entered the lucrative market of Professional Recruitment.
I had overall responsibility of technical & commercial appraisals, negotiations and award of contracts. The business services where limited to provision of serviced offices at the company's premises.
I joined Engineering Services Company Ltd. to set up a computer division primarily to build an export business to Middle Eastern countries. The focus was on Personal Computers, Peripherals, Software Packages, etc. We successfully gained agencies for a number of leader names such as; Elonex, Perfect Data, Clearite, Euromagnatics.
I was the Division Manager fully responsible for its performance.
