A Senior Commercial and Procurement strategic leadership role reporting to the Financial Director, accountable for driving a commercial mind-set across the business and develop strategic procurement solutions to support the organization's strategy and vision. Lead a team of Procurement & Commercial Mangers and provide expert advice on best practices, legal and regulatory compliance, risks, and governance; ensuring all WRAP’s commercial considerations, strategic opportunities/threats/risks are proportionate as the business expands globally.
• Strategically oversee all new business opportunities, including expansion of the business and its activities overseas, to ensure optimum balance of risk, opportunity and strategic fit including robustness and appropriate form.
• Lead, manage and develop the team of Commercial and Procurement professionals to deliver exceptional service and continuous improvement to the business.
• Develop and embed commercial mind-set and capability across the organization, contributing to the wider leadership and transformation of WRAP.
• Monitor broader legal / regulatory environment, providing advice on appropriate response, and identify strategic opportunities / threats.
• Develop strategic sourcing plans in line with commercial best practice and value for money.
• Designated Safeguarding lead responsible for safeguarding concerns across WRAP and maintain links to relevant statutory authorities.
