✪ In this position, I developed, reviewed, and spearheaded a project in the Baish region to build a waste water treatment plant for the Ministry of Water and Electricity. I conducted a thorough design review before submitting it for client/consultant approval. I became an expert in sourcing suppliers for materials needed according to drawings, I negotiated contracts for the best prices, and I scheduled materials delivery. I prepared for inspections by sending submittal requests, organizing, and by instituting quality control procedures to maintain project integrity. I coordinated the beginning stages, monitored the project progress, and followed through until completion with the project consultant.
Key Accomplishments:
• Structural design review before submitting to client/consultant approval.
• Material take off from approved drawings, prepare purchase orders and coordinate with procurement for the site delivery.
• Supervise and Monitor all the Civil Engineering activities in the site and reported direct to the project Manager.
• pre-plan and follow up weekly targets for sub-contractors, sub ordinates, junior engineers and the site team.
• coordinate with sub-contractors for daily progress, required sources for the project.
• coordinate with 3rd parties including suppliers and laboratories in order to achieve the targets timely and qualitatively.
• coordinate with (safety department and subordinates) to be sure for all required safety steps are taken prior any activity started and its completed as per the safety plan.
• Follow up the progress according to the approved time schedule, with in the budget and safety standards.
✪ In this project, I directed the project of King Fahd Bridge AL Baha ring road section 4 and 6 for the Ministry of Transport. I planned and executed the site preparation by designing the ground work, infrastructure, superstructure, concrete, sidewalks, and asphalt. I estimated cost, the timeline of project, materials needed, design drawings, and materials used. I presented all pre-project documentation to the client for approval and coordinated all project activities with the client, 3rd parties, engineering teams and crew, planning and HSE departments, and the consultant. I maintained project progress according to the schedule and budget.
Key Accomplishments:
• Planning and Executing Earth works, Infrastructure, concrete works, asphalting.
• Coordinate for all civil activities with Client, third parties, dependents, Planning and HSE department, prepare work permits, method of statements as per approved drawing, specification and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with consultant for the approval of variation orders, change orders, shop drawings and safety issues.
• Deal with the PMO, procurement and financial department in the HO.
• prepare material submittals request for inspections and co-ordinate with consultant.
• Compare the progress according to the approved time schedule and project budget.
• Prepare and review Progress reports, Invoices, Technical quarries.
✪ Here, I executed the Bani Hajer - Shihaniah highway road sections 4 and 5 project, for the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and executed the Wathnan Commercial Mall from A to Z under the supervision of Qatar Petroleum. I coordinated both projects with the clients, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, and engineering teams and the crew. I provided estimates of cost and timeline and submitted for approval. I supervised and reviewed the project designs and adjusted the design and materials as the project required.
Key Accomplishments:
• Supervise all Activities involved survey, preparation of sub grad, sub base, Asphalting, concrete works, finishing and material approval.
• Review project BOQ, Progress reports, Invoices, Technical quarries.
• coordinate with sub-contractors for daily progress, required sources and follow up.
• coordinate with sub-contractors involved in construction activities (Earthworks, infra structures, superstructures, steel structures) in Mesaieed Industrial City (MIC).
• supervise maintenance works in existing facilities.
• prepare material submittal request for inspections and coordinating with consultant
• Coordinate to get the approval of variation orders, materials and shop drawings.
• Compare the progress according to the approved time schedule and project budget.
✪ For this project, I developed and executed the steel 6000 M2 structure at Alexandria Port for a Guard Facility to house Air Defense Forces. I verified construction adhered to approved documentation and drawings and met requirements. I maintained collaboration with the client and contractors/sub-contractors. I managed the work site to follow up with progress and to oversee construction crews and monitor safety of the site. I planned and implemented inspection schedules and adjusted them according to requirements. I prepared and delivered project progress reports for clients with information on delays and corrective actions.
Key Accomplishments:
• Plan the inspection schedules and ensure their implementation.
• Make sure that the construction is going according to the approved drawings and the required specifications.
• Attending weekly meetings with client and Sub contractors.
• Follow up the progress of the work according to the time schedule.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for the owners regarding the progress in works
and the expecting delays.
